Homeschool Help

Submitted by witchiepoo on Sun, 11/09/2003 - 1:53pm.

I do a fair bit of consulting in this area helping homeschoolers wade through the state requirements. I have just a ton of resources I've made up for them already here on my computer. If anyone is interested, e-mail me, and I would be happy to send you any or all of it. I have suggestions for new homeschoolers, curriculum by grade and subject, and general recommendations for each subject area including music, art, physical education, and French. It will probably not all be applicable to you as it is State requirement specific, but use it as you will. Homeschooling is very close to my heart, and I would love to do what I can to support anyone in this very important endeavor.

if you want to post any of this...

...let me know and we can set something up. A TNH Big Book of Homeschooling would be really useful, and the homeschooling members could write it together.

I would love to post, just let me know how. I should say though that I am not a homeschooler (well, in spirit I am, just not in practice right now). A big book is a fantastic idea!

That would be a very cool thing to do. I'd love to be part of it.

Love the Idea!

If we don't do the Big Book soon, Jo, I might e-mail you for some of that info. Right now we can barely get to what I ordered for this year, but any & all suggestions would be most welcome. Music and art would be good, because we haven't done that yet and DD7 is showing a penchant for art. Smiling

The "Book" has been started!

Click on "books" in the top/bottom menu bar and you'll go there. (Or just click here.) If you write a page, it won't show up immediately; I need to approve it. Thanks for participating in this project!

Well, pooh. When I click on "Books" on the left, and then "The TNH Big Book of Homeschooling", I get "You are not authorized to access this page."

When I click on books on the side, I get the same message, but if I click on books in the pink bar at the top of the page, it seems to work fine.

OK this is weird because I'm not seeing a link on my left...

left link

Lynn--

On my screen the book link on the left is in a little box right at the left column. It's between "view my journal" and "edit my account" along with things to click on for "private messages, create content, recent posts, and log out." Books is also on that list. I am using Internet Explorer, if that helps. Also, some of those things don't show up if I'm not logged in.

Since the link at the top of the page works, I wouldn't be too worried about the one on the left.

I don't have that link at all! I'll look into it--probably take it out. I can find it in the book module. Very odd!
