"Sharp bow" whatever that means. My real Chinese name, BTW, is Moa Bei-ka. Moa (not sure of the Romanized spelling) is just what my dad was assigned when he started taking Chinese, so it's now all of ours in the family; and Bei-ka, well, sounds like Rebecca. I'm not sure if it has a meaning.

well duh... sorry - I skipped the generator! There is a more direct transliteration from English to Chinese for Kerri, but DH preferred going sideways a little to improve the meaning. I can't remember exactly, but ke ai is adorable. It's also easier to write as it is, which doesn't actually mean I remember it. There are a few people who actually use my Chinese name consistently but not many.
couldn't get the generator to make sense of my surname because it kept insisting on turning Leow into either Liu or Li instead of Liao. DH reckons it's probably Cantonese based and ended up walking away in disgust! I daren't try my maiden name or it might just fuse my computer!

Eh, can't say I like it very much, though the meaning is OK. Tian is supposed to be quiet, peaceful, and rong was tolerant, I think.
My husband found a Japanese name generator a while ago. He got Saruwatari (monkey on a crossing bridge) Taiki (large radiance) and said, "would that be a flaming monkey, then?"
I got Endoh (distant wisteria) Ayumi (walk, deeper meaning: walk your own way). I think I got the better deal.
