Here's the new VFTT for February. Now that John's home I'm going to be even more accountable, since he's taken my self-care in hand. I sorta need someone to remind me to do stuff like, oh, eat. Eye-wink

2/2: 35 min @ ~2 mph
2/3: 36 min @ ~2 mph

I feel good before, during and after.

34 min @ ~2 mph. Listened to a mix of the two playlists. I seem to need to hear Baby Got Back or I just don't feel as if I've done my walk. Smiling

37 min @ ~2 mph -- 1.13 miles total. Yes, I'm slow. I don't care. I couldn't do half that a year ago.

I'm adjusting my playlist today. I seem to need certain songs no matter what--"Airwaves" to warm up to, "Baby Got Back" somewhere in there, "Jacksonville" to cool down to. I've added my arm and leg exercises back in, too. Did arms yesterday, legs today.

41 min @ ~2 mph -- 1.26 miles total. yay! I'm back up to 40! That's how much I did--in 20 min segments with a slight rest in between--at rehab a year ago, though at a much slower tempo.

VFTT 2-8-08 through 2-12-08

Submitted by Lynn on Tue, 02/12/2008 - 5:20pm.

2-8-08: Did 27 min @ ~2 mph. Had a busy day so cut it short.

2-9-08: Didn't walk. Went to the art museum instead and walked a LOT, including a lot of stairs.

2-10-08: Didn't walk. Helped move Josie into her new room.

2-11-08: Ditto. Strangely, it was a lot of exercise, the moving.

2-12-08: Did 34 min @ ~ 2 mph. I'm really tired today but did it anyway.

34 min @ ~2 mph. The view was, as Hata just said, schizophrenic; you can tell that spring is creeping its way into Oregon. First it's raining--pelting, really. And then the sun comes bursting out. And five minutes later, it's pouring again. And five minutes after that, it's blue blue blue. Oregon for ya.

I beleive I said bi-polar. Not that I'm quibbling or anything, heavens no.

The day ended, of course, dreary and cold cold cold, chilling you to the bones and then some as only the northwest's damp can do. Luckily my car heater is good and my wonderful DH had a fire going when we got home. Ahhhhhh... wool socks and woodstoves get me through the winter. That and the dandelion wine!

Darn, forgot again, Lynn. Sorry.

Today I did
15 minutes @ 3 mph
5 minutes @ 4 mph

I went a whole mile. First time I've been on my treadmill since early December. View was of the blank tv most of the time, since I couldn't figure out how to make the remote work.

Today I took my walk on the street, since it's a gorgeous, sunny day. Did about what I normally do, feel good, got to talk with John and have a delicious decaf latte. Smiling

Didn't walk the last two days; we've been so busy cleaning house that it's definitely counted towards my exercise!

34 min @ ~2 mph, 1.04 miles total. Felt pretty good in all, though my back is extremely achy. The weather is yo-yo-ing--one day it's sunny and beautiful, the next cold and rainy. Very hard on my body.

Gosh, the weather does a number on us, doesn't it?
I hear about how nice it is down South, but don't know if I could give up the seasons.

I can hardly bend over let alone walk right now! I love the seasons and could never give them up. I'm just hoping we can see some improvement in my fibro soon. I'm going to see the naturopaths on Monday, bless their pointed lil hemp-wearin' heads, and hope they have some options for me. I'm so exhausted right now!
