tea cosy pictureI finally got a new card reader for my digital camera, which means it's much easier for me to upload pictures now. First thing I did was upload a picture of the Super Simple Tea Cosy Pattern.

As I note on that page, the cosy I made differs from the pattern in that I put colorwork in mine, and the pattern is plain. Please feel free to go nuts; consider the cosy pattern to be a blank canvas on which to experiment. Doing two-color/Fair Isle patterning makes a thicker cosy as well, so the teapot stays warmer.

The one in the picture is made of leftover bits of Bartlett worsted weight wool yarn. Basically I just knit an every-other-stitch checkerboard pattern, changing one of the colors every four rows and keeping the top and bottom border colors the same. It keeps the tea warm nearly all day long.
