Super Simple Tea Cosy Pattern Generator

by Lynn Siprelle
Finally, a picture of the Super Simple Tea Cosy! The color patterning is NOT included in the pattern, but adding it is simple. All I did was knit odd stitches in one color, even stitches in another all the way across the row. On the next row, I knitted color A stitches with color B and vice versa. Every four rows I changed one of the colors for a new one. You don't have to do color work; you can just knit solid. But I will say that carrying two colors across the row like this makes a thicker, warmer cosy. Use wool or wool blend yarn if at all possible.

I wish I knew how to insert photos into these posts, but I don't have a clue. But my Rosy Tea Cosy came out perfect with this generator.

I've got a bunch of leftover yarn from this, I'm trying to figure out what else I can do with the fair isle rose pattern in my kitchen...

Query?

Submitted by Anhata on Tue, 03/20/2007 - 10:55am.

Could we start a photo gallery of finished Tea Cosies from this pattern? I've seen the pics of the second one you did, Lynn, I think it was a FO post? Mine makes three...

I love this pattern--I love that it fits my teapot like a sweater and you don't have to take it off to pour the tea. I love that it's a blank canvas for Fair Isle stichery. I love that it's so easy to do. Seriously, I'm a lazy knitter, so if I can do it...
