apple cranberry pie

Make pie! Yeah, I know, I am the world's worst photographer, but this really was pretty good. No recipe to speak of but this is how I'd tell you to do it:

Take your favorite apple pie recipe and leave out one or more apples. Make up the rest with leftover whole cranberry sauce. Top it however you like, with a top crust or otherwise. Cook as you usually would. I used a store-boughten crust and didn't have a top crust, so I put a "crisp" topping on it--butter, spices, rolled oats. Pretty good!

"I'd eat chicken in the mo-or-ning . . ."

Now, if you had about 3 cups of shredded cooked chicken breast, what would be the best and most fabulous thing you could think of to do with it?

You see I am a total poultry novice. I just had to thaw a giant package of bone-in breasts to get it out of the freezer. We grilled a bunch and I poached the rest in the crock pot. --read more

Hey there,
I read somewhere awhile back that a good way to get rid of that turkey left over is to mix it in with some hamburger and bread it. Put it in the oven at 400 for 45mins to an hour. Turkey burgers lol. I'm not sure if it tastes any good but it just sounded like an idea.--read more

Jam-How long will it last?

I found a couple of tiny jars of jam in my pantry that have been there for ????? At least 5, maybe as many as 7 years. They have never been opened.

I cannot see any expiry date on the jars. I opened one last night and the seal popped nicely. I had a teensy taste and it tasted ok. --read more
