Seaside BlissI love living close enough to the ocean to make daytrips. We packed a picnic and set off for the afternoon yesterday after services. I really needed the break. It was pure bliss playing in the surf even though it was too cold to be doing it. DD and I jumped the waves, got the dog wet, tried to fly a kite but it was too windy, got some salt-water taffy, ate an Elephant Ear cookie, and stayed to watch the sunset over the ocean.--read more ( categories: TNH Member Pictures )

Sockus SuckusAnd here they are. The very first socks I've ever attempted. And, predictably, they suck. They may look cute, but in fact, they are annoying. To DD specifically, for whom they were made and who refuses to wear them. She submitted to modeling them for the photo, but has not willingly worn them since. She says it's because they are uncomforable, or "itchy". I suspect it's because I knit them too tight and they're too snug.--read more ( categories: TNH Member Pictures )
