Sorta Turkish Socks

Lynn's picture

Wacky, no? Wait till you see them with the heel on. See that neon yellow? And the two darker blue-ish purple-ish balls next to it? Those are the heel colors.

These are my sorta Turkish peasant inspired socks. Peasant, because country people always use everything up, and I have piles of little balls of leftover sock yarn. What to do? Make Turkish-style socks, that's what. The front pattern, by the way, is an actual Turkish pattern called Willow Branch. I think I'm going to carry it up the leg, which won't be much of a leg; I'm afraid I'm going to run out of yarn so I'll keep it to more of an anklet. Or maybe add more wacky yarn.

More gabble here.

And you didn't show the remarkable heel because...

...why?

I absolutely love how the red changes shades and how it contrasts with the blue (which looks like it matches your tablecloth nicely!).

Mahhvahhlahhs, dahling!

Sorry, posted before I read your other post

At least it was a "happy accident" and you know now that you'd have run out of yarn. (Yes, Bob Ross rears his fuzzy head)
