Cottage Cheese Curry

Description
Usually, this curry is made with paneer, a simple kind of fresh cheese. In this version, American cottage cheese substitutes. If you can find dry cottage cheese, use it; otherwise, drain your cottage cheese before adding it to the dish.
Ingredients
- 1 lb cottage cheese
- 1 t mustard seeds
- 1 t cumin seeds
- 2 T tomato paste
- 1 t turmeric powder
- 2 t chili powder
- 2 T oil
- 2 green chiles
- 2 t salt
- 1 bunch cilantro, chopped
Instructions
Heat oil in a saucepan and fry the cumin and mustard seeds for a minute followed by the cottage cheese for two minutes. Next, add the tomato paste, turmeric and chilli powder, green chillies, chopped cilantro/coriander and salt. Cover with a lid and cook for ten minutes.
