 I had no idea there were two more!I remember reading My Side of the Mountain several times growing up (and also Julie of the Wolves, which I guess I never realized was by the same author).  I didn't know there were sequels, either!I love this book. I still sometimes deliberatly go out into the sun without sunblock to get vitamin D like Sam did. And I think of him and the book while I do it.  Sequels...there are addidtional books in the "Julie" group, too. My DDs are animal/nature fanatics and have loved all of these! Island of the Blue Dolphins and Xia are also favorites in this genre! Blessings, » email this page | reply
I noticed that!I haven't read those, either--I wonder when they were published? I don't remember them being around when I was reading the first novels in elementary school. I really loved Julie of the Wolves back then--read it several times. Island of the Blue Dolphins is another book I think of with these, and another favorite.
