I'm so proud! I helped her arrange the words according to the proscribed 5, 7, 5, but she came up with the heart of the poem. We are studying Japan right now, trying to finish up our geography/social sciences stuff before summer break.

I've been getting entirely too much joy out of barking out Konnichiwa! at random intervals. Japanese is fun. Now to color "Thunderstorm at the foot of a mountain" by Katsushika Hokusai from "Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji". This series is one of my favorites from my Asian Art class in college.
