The Monkees
"And it looks like we made it once again....."
My sister's favorite band is The Monkees. They are not my favorite band, but they are close to it.
Recently I have learned of there movie, HEAD. I have first learned of it when I discovered "Daddy's Song", sung by Davy Jones in HEAD.
"Now the mother did explain, try to take away the pain!
"But he could not understand that his father was not a man,
"And it was all just a game."
-Daddy's Song
From watching clips of it on Youtube, I can tell that it dosn't have a plot.
Micky in the dessert was very random.
"Clicks, Clacks,
"Riding on the backs of giraffes just for laughs is all right for a while."
-Porpoise Song
"Porpoise Song" is as random as "Randy Scouse Git". ( Called "Alternat Tittle" in England. )
It is the theme in HEAD. During the theme, Micky Dolenz is falling down from the sky, falls into water. What happens next? Mermaides and flashy colors!
The Monkees TV show was almost as silly. ( The last episode WAS as silly. )
They each had a role in the show:
Micky Dolenz:
Just plain goofy.
Mike Nesmith:
Sencable(?).
Peter Tork:
The daydreaming kid.
Davy Jones:
The cute girl crazy one from England.
"I myself am upseanly(?) jelius(?)!!"
-Peter Tork "The Monkees" episode 12: "To Many Girls"
"But the porpoise is waiting, good-bye, good-by!
"Good-bye, good-bye, good-bye!
"Good-bye, good-bye, good-bye!
"Good-bye, good-bye, good-bye!"

My brother and I used to
My brother and I used to love the Monkees. And no, I'm not old enough to remember the first runs. We got to know them thru Nick at Nite on cable. LOL!
