Adoption--YES!

The kids will be ours!

Soon to be DD7 and DS5 stayed the night last night, and went back to their foster home this afternoon. They will move in this Wednesday!

We are so happy and excited. These are such great kids! There will be transitioning issues, life hasn't been been kind to these kids, though they've been in a terrific foster home for the past six months (their great aunt). We can expect some turbulence during the coming months, but forewarned is forearmed.

The front bedroom will now home to two precious girls, and DD8's former room will be repainted for DS.

Now we're trying to make lists of things we'll need before Wednesday--toothbrush holders, more towels, towel racks, and so on.

DH is going out today to get paint to re-do a dresser for DD7, I need to put up curtains in the girl's rooms, and so on.

We're gonna be a family of five! I can hardly stand it! When I announced the news in church today our members applauded (they know we've been seeking adoption from foster care) and that's how I felt, I want to applaud, shout from the rooftops!

I showed their pictures to everyone who'd stand still long enough to look! They didn't accompany me to church today because DD8 has a low fever and they wanted to stay home with her. DH and my mom, who's visiting, stayed with them.

When I said good-bye to DD7, she said, "On Wednesday I can start calling you 'Mom'"
