Henry

This is Henry:

Henry is a 7-month-old Cavalier King Charles spaniel currently in need of a bath, but that's tomorrow's task. Today Henry is getting to know us and the house, having been given to us by my mother-in-law. Young dogs in general and Cavaliers in particular need lots and lots of attention, and they weren't home enough. We, on the other hand, are always here. Henry is lying at my feet as I type, and I am sincerely glad to no longer be dogless after 18 months.

Cute!
I'm happy for you. Being dogless isn't a good thing.
Baroo!
How preciously cute! Welcome home, Henry!
Lynn, Henry is a real cutie!
Lynn,
Henry is a real cutie! Is he housetrained already? What happened 18 months ago - you lost a dog?
Good luck with him! We are a year into owning a puppy and it is going pretty smooth with a few rough spots now and then!

Henry has some submissive peeing issues, but that'll solve itself with time and training, and it's just little spots, not huge floods. Eighteen months ago, Kaila Dog died of old age (with some help from the vet). And I've really missed having a dog around since. I never expected to have either a purebred or a toy dog, but here I am with a Cav. They're the biggest of the toy breeds, granted, but he is indeed considered one.
