Hi all!! I am a teacher, so instead of new years goals, I make school year goals. I always start new in the summer!! This way, I have a 3 month jump as a semi-stay at home mom until the school year starts. Anyway, one of my goals is to make new friends and to cultivate those I already have. So, here I am to make new friends! I am married 12 years and have 2 children. DS is 11 and plays select baseball and DD (almost 10) is a competitive cheerleader. I teach 2nd grade after retiring from the business world for 20 years because I always wanted to teach. I miss adult conversation. I live in Texas and have never lived anywhere else. Before I had kids, I was a meticulous housekeeper. Now, I can't keep up, so I just scoot the piles around. As a relatively new teacher, I am still getting a handle on my organizational issues. A friend of mine told me to just throw everything away and start over. I had the same thoughts about my house. I asked my husband if we could just move and start over. He didn't think that was a good option. I am going to start cleaning on Monday, so look for me on the flybabies section! I am looking forward to making lots of friends here and for ya'll to help me be accountable!

Hi Linda! We have a few

Hi Linda!
We have a few things in common. I'm right next door to you in Eastern New Mexico (we are practically in Texas. Any major shopping trip I go to Lubbock). I'm a SAHM full time and have been since my first child was born 11 years ago. I am about halfway to my teaching degree, I've been working on it on and off for a few years between having kids. We have 4 of them now and are more than likely DONE (unless God has plans to get past my IUD. LOL!). My older two (girls) are active in cheerleading, and I coach their elemetary squad. We cheer for our tiny rural school, my oldest moves up to the Jr. High squad this year (this is the first year we go to cheer camp, and somehow I found myself having to chaperone all 6 on the squad to camp! The jr. high coach has to go with the Varsity squad since we had 11 try out for it this year. Guess since they won State this year, all of the sudden everyone wants to do it. LOL)! They also play basketball for our school's elementary teams. My boys aren't old enough for stuff at our school yet, at age 5 and 2. But lordy when they do, I won't know which way to turn!

I've had the same thoughts about my house. Let's just build a new one and start over! My husband rolled his eyes at me. Men! LOL!

Even though I stay at home, it's HARD to keep up! They seem to mess it up faster than I can pick it up! That goes for my husband, too. LOL! I'm sometimes the only flapper down on the flybabies thread, and there are usually only 3 or 4 of us anymore, but would welcome some more flybabies! So come on over!!
