Just a quick check in this
Just a quick check in this morning. Yesterday's housework was blasted away by helping put in a new waterline to the corrals (then herding the cows with the 4wheeler to a different pen, which is always fun!). Topped with tornado warnings, lightening, 5 different grass fires from said lightening, and the kids spring music program. See, never a dull moment!
This morning DS2 gets to have shots and checkup in C-town, and babysitting 10 month old Baby C while I'm at it. This will hopefully be my last trip to town this week, so I need to pick up something for DD10s b-day this weekend.
Ya'll have a good one!
Andrea, how can you let that
Andrea, how can you let that beautiful camera sit in the box for a second! LOL! Get that thing out (and charge up the battery before you get started).
Sorry about the 6 more weeks of school. Don't ya'll start later than we do? We usually start back middle of August (I wish later, because it runs right into county fair, then the kids have to be excused for fair days. Though they did build some of that into the calendar).
Yesterday went well. My son was so cute at the preschool tea. I could hear him singing, and he's not as good as his sisters. LOL! It's so funny, he looks out of place because he is about 4 inches taller than everyone else there. Very excited to be moving on to Kindergarten next year.
I also got the vacuuming and dusting done in most of the house yesterday. That's my extent of flying that was done, well, that and my routines.
Today I'm off to town for some groceries, feed store (taking the pickup, gotta get mineral blocks as well as feed), picking up pizzas for the preschool party and a few other things so we can party all day long there. There will be water fun, too.
Morning Everyone - We have
Morning Everyone -
We have rain here - yuk! At least it waited until Monday. I still hope to get out and walk. And hopefully it will let up in time for the 6:00 game tonite - DD's. She is really hoping to hit the ball - she seems to have lost her touch since last spring!
Jenny, you are doing great with your exercise! I'm holding my own with walking and doing WW online, but I'd still like to lose at least 10 more pounds. I am 7 down from my all-time high, which was 159.
I got a fair amount done this weekend - washed a couple of windows and did regular chores. I'd like to finish the windows and also find time to fit some scrapping in!
See ya!

It's Tuesday, and that means
It's Tuesday, and that means Baby C day. So far he's being good. I had to run to town to the courthouse for some paperwork (jury duty questionaire, lovely), and he was an angel in the grocery store, too. He's still asleep now (the only reason I'm even on the computer).
So chaulk up a big zero for flying today! LOL!
heidi, sounds like DD got some neat things!
Andrea, if your sick of the rain, send it down here. Haven't seen any in months here! My pastures really need some.
cya'll later!
Good morning! It's a balmy
Good morning! It's a balmy 60F outside and supposed to break 90 today. Unfortunately, the wind is going to blow, too, with gusts 50+. Bleh.
DH is out of town, went to Denver on a fire department errand. He'll be back tomorrow night. In the meantime, got some work to do (as always). I'm waiting for some tylenol to kick in for some sore muscles, then I'm going to try to jump on that treadmill for a mile. I really need to clean up the den (old office, which is still what we call it. Just can't get used to any other name). Need to make some phone calls, too. Just a bunch of misc. stuff today, I guess.
Happy Monday gals!!
Happy Monday gals!!
Did everyone have a productive weekend? I won't lie, I really didn't. But the house didn't fall apart, and I did get 5 loads of laundry COMPLETELY done (even put away).
Andrea, that's alot of ball games! I agree with just camping there (but I'll take my 5th wheel rather than a tent. LOL! Might as well have a hot shower. hehehe).
Regarding the gas line: the gas people came out right away and fixed it. No fines or anythings, I think we will just have to pay for the guys to fix it. Still, I let DH know I was ticked off about it. We really weren't evacuated or anything, I went to inlaws house because I was mad. LOL! They said this happens all the time.
I have alot to get done this week, one of which is getting the garden ready to plant (that is, IF I can get DH to fix my roto-tiller). I want to plant next week! Can you say fried squash? Yummy!! Well, won't go well with my diet, will it?
I got the kids up and off to school. DS2 is watching Scooby-doo, I'm going to exercise real quick. Then weekly blessing. I haven't touched my closet like I had hoped, not sure I will today either. I have a todo list a mile long, so I need to get busy!
I made it out for part of
I made it out for part of the track meet. I missed dd10s first event (frisbee toss, which she won 3rd), and she ended up not having another one til after lunch. I was already sick of being in the wind and not seeing my daughter do any events, so I came home instead. Did my jury duty (and report for selection on Monday. bleh. Thank goodness the county's lone murder trial scheduled will be after my term is up. I'm already having problems with childcare for the next three weeks!).
Today is laundry day. And run the vacuum and broom since yesterday's sand storms left a horrible mess in my house, again. Is it summer yet? I'm ready for spring sand storms to be replaced by summer isolated thunder storms. LOL!
Welcome Chelsea! Well, it's
Welcome Chelsea!
Well, it's Sunday, and guess what. I ditched church again! LOL! DH didn't get in til late last night from an ambulance run, so we just decided to spend it at home with family instead. I didn't go to that baby shower yesterday either. That's two days of gas to town I saved, since I have to go tomorrow for Jury Duty and again on Tuesday for DS2's shots (and I have baby c that day, too).
I finished laundry yesterday, but still need to fold two of the loads. Then I got to playing around with Photoshop some more. If my DH would get off his duff and fix my rototiller, I could be out there getting the garden ready to plant! Or fix my lawnmower's tire and change the oil so I can get ready to mow the back lawn. Or my fix my weedeater. Or fix my well. Yeah, he's getting quite a big honey-do list.
Inlaws are coming for dinner (dh invited them), so I'm busy cooking up a big meal (bbq pork, mashed taters, brocolli casserole, homemade buns. Need a dessert?). But I'm cleaning as I go!
5/4 Afternoon
Wow Jennye your dinner sounds great. Were having Fried chicken here, with mashed potatos and gravy (w/ mushrooms in the gravy Mmm lol) and sauteed mushrooms. I too have been skipping out on church alot lately, Its hard to go because petes basic work hours are 11pm-7am so he's pretty much asleep by the time sermon starts. Hopefully we can start going soon.
Anyways, heres my to-do list for today so far:
Pick up living room (done)
Dust living room (done)
Emails (pretty much done)
Vacuum
Sweep kitchen
Counters
Put up knick knacks
Clean island
Put up boxes
Dishes
Cats(done)

So right now i have i love lucy on (one of my favorite things to clean to lol) and DH is asleep, i gotta wake him up around 9 with dinner ready. Anyways, i'm gonna get off my butt and start cleaning =)

Andrea, how do you like the camera?
We drank, we played, but I didn't sing. We didn't play any girl songs! LOL! And I didn't drink enough: just 2 beers and one margarita wine cooler. LOL! But it was fun.
We are trying to lay low today. Wind still blowing. DH is taking a nap. He's been baling hay, which is a middle of the night job. No flying, but maybe I'll work on something else around here.

Yesterday was a big lazy day, today seems more promising with sunnier skies.
I am subbing all day Monday and Tuesday so not much flying til later in the week for me. Have a pleasant afternoon/evening guys!
Heidi
Heidi, what color did you
Heidi, what color did you dye your hair? You know what? I don't think I have ever seen a picture of you! I know what Andrea looks like (and it seems to be just us three around here anymore), but no idea on you! LOL!
I didn't exercise yesterday. My calf muscles are still a bit sore, so I'm putting it off. Today DD10 has the annual 4th, 5th and 6th grade track meet with the two other rural schools in our county. We are hosting it this year, so I'll try to go by the school later. IF this darn wind doesn't blow too much. Weather channel says gusts 60+. I don't want to go out in it, especially with DS2. This afternoon (at 3), I have jury duty. That's a DUMB time to have the first jury duty meeting. I mean, that's right when schools are starting to get out! But, luckily, I have made arrangments with MIL to get the kids AND watch DS2 (bless her).
I could go on, but in short, not much flying today.
Oh, yesterday I did get a ton of papers sorted and most thrown away! did some filing, too! And found something I had been looking for and was really worried about. So, cool. DH gets home this afternoon (only to run off to a fire meeting). I think I'll bring home pizza for dinner.
Morning All! Glad to see

So it is officially Monday and the begininng of a new week. I am not
sure exactly what all we have planned this week, I need to check the
calendar. But i can now officially say i am starting to get on a
normal schedule lol. I went to bed last night around 1-1:30 and woke
up today at 8:30, so yay! lol hopefully i can stick with this
schedule, i seem to get alot more done and i feel much more energized.
So for dinner tonight we are having Pasta and pasta sauce, I was
wanting to make some homemade garlic bread, or breadsticks. Does
anyone have any idea on how to make those lol? I have yeast, if i need
any lol.
Otherwise today is a pretty normal, i am going to clean up the house.
I wrote down an acutal schedule last nite before i went to sleep.

Your Friend,
Chelsea
I started the day off in
I started the day off in court all day for Jury Duty after dropping the kids off at school and MILs. I wasn't selected this time. But since I was childless I went to Walmart for a peaceful shopping trip for a change. LOL! Got DS2 at inlaws and came home, unloaded groceries. Still need to put away the non-perishable stuff, hunger (I had skipped breakfast) and the need to check email overtook me. LOL!
Tonight is the kids Spring Program. I'll try to do a few things around here before then.
Good Afternoon! Been busy
Good Afternoon!
Been busy subbing the last couple days. DD is having a friend over any minute and then it will be 3 days off!!! Planning on doing some mulching of my flower beds, planting out some tomato plants, going to a parade and a cookout. No graduations or grad parties this year for us but we do have 2 weddings this summer.
Jenny-I love to make my own greeting cards and have been doing that for years. Do you use your scrapbooking scraps for it? I even have wrapping paper scraps I use too.
Well, I hear the bus now. Will TADA/PODA tonight or tomorrow

Hello? Hellllooooo....Is this thing on.
Just me, all by my lonesome. And I'm NOT flying very well. Why am I still here on the Flybabies thread if I'm not doing what I'm supposed to be doing? I don't know.
But I have a valid reason for not doing anything yesterday (except two loads of laundry). Drew spiked up a fever and demanded to be held all day long. Even as he napped, he wanted to be in my arms. I blame Baby C. Because even though Baby C wasn't sick on Tuesday, Wednesday his mom took him to the er because of a fever. So I figured whatever Baby C had, he gave to Drew. Right?
So, there is the story of why I didn't fly yesterday.
I need to finish up the laundry today, as well as make invitations for DD10's slumber party, then we have to go to a baby shower this afternoon. I don't wanna go. But the future grandparents/aunts are good friends of ours, so I suppose I must. And go to town tomorrow for church. And go to town on Monday for jury duty. I'm getting tired of town.

DS has a party to attend tonight but the rest of us will be home. We all feel lazy today. It is rainy and dark out, that is the main reason I guess.
Jenny-I have never had jury duty. I kinda think it would be neat if childcare issues were not a problem. I would rather have rain anyday compared to those nasty sandstorms that you get,ugh...
Yeah, where have all the flybabies gone??? Chime in guys!
Heidi
Wow
Wow you all seem to get so much done! I just started getting into flylady about 4 months ago, i also have one of her books i found at half price bookstore. Heres my morning routine:
MORNING ROUTINE
1. Make bed unless Pete is still in it.
2.Face/hair/teeth
3.Swish toilet/wipe down counter while in bathroom
4. Empty dishwasher, Make coffee
5.Feed cats
6. Check calendar
7.Finish to-do list
8.Fold some laundry (if any)
9.Take vitamins
10.Eat Breakfast
11.Bible Time
12.Emails
I usually can stick to it pretty well, although i admit that when its pete's days off i usually slack off lol. Anyways, just thought i'd leave a post, hope you don't mind =)

Whoohoo, got excused from Jury Duty!! They took one look at my beautiful brown eyed toddler and he melted their hearts, immediatly excused me for the year, but tried to keep the kid. I told him he wouldn't be any good on a jury, he would side with anyone who would give him a cheeto. LOL!
Time to work on laundry.
I know, I am pathetic aren't
I know, I am pathetic aren't I? That is my ocd kicking in - I have to have other stuff DONE before I can play. Besides, don't I need to buy a memory card before I start taking pictures anyway? Like I would even know how to take pictures with this thing!
Yes, we do start later - usually the Tuesday right after Labor Day.
Game tonite - I hope I don't freeze my rear end off. I think I am ordering takout for dinner as I have to vote after work plus a couple other things so no real time to cook. Must get laundry done and put away too and maybe vacuum up all the nasty pet hair that my carpet absorbs.

Let's start a new thread...
Let's start a new thread...
Happy Birthday DD11!!!!!
How was dinner, Andrea?
After I posted yesterday I didn't get a whole lot more done. I spent two hours with DH putting in that water tank (and mixing 20 bags of cement by hand. And when I say by hand, I mean with my bare hands! We just poured the mix in the form and added water. I was tired!). But still made PWs chocolate sheet cake for DH to take today. Got up at 6 so I could begin making today's birthday stuff. Cheesecake is in the oven now, going to make a devil's food cake too, because DH invited some friends over too (bringing today's tally to 17).
DH is off to take his final exam, and in the meantime I got to finish cleaning the house. He was ticked this morning that it wasn't done (lordy hon, I was exhausted after mixing all that cement yesterday! Next time I'll let him mix it himself!!). And I'm glad I didn't do it yesterday, because he wore muddy boots all in my house after working out in the pens and I would have had to redo it all anyway!
Lessee, I need to:
*clean LR/DR good
*clean kitchen and mop (after I get done with all the baking)
*clean office
*bake another cake
*two pans of stuffed shells
*salad
*make a vidalia onion dip
*wrap a present
Dang it, it's windy today.
Morning gals!! Rise and
Morning gals!! Rise and shine!
It's a BEAUTIFUL day! It RAINED last night! It's been months, but we finally got some rain!! And no fires, either! It's also beautiful because my new lens for my camera should be here today! AND yesterday should be the last day I have Baby C!!
I didn't get DD10's birthday gift yesterday. Just didn't want to drag Baby C and DS2 thru any more stores (we did office max and waited 1 1/2 hours in the dr. office). I just wanted to get home so I could feed the baby and let DS2 loose. I did get the kitchen cleaned up after dinner (which I just fixed something for the kids).
Today is the day I have to catch up after two town days. Uh-oh. LOL! Laundry is my main priority. I'm not going to worry about the weekly blessing til Friday. The kids can help with it, and we are having company Saturday for the birthday girl's family party (just the inlaws and SIL and family). But I'll go to town tomorrow to get her a gift and the food needed for the party (she has requested cheesecake and stuffed shells).
Laterz gatorz!
Guess What?
Tonight is my LAST CLASS of my Master's Degree!
I am sooooooo happy.
Now I can start flying again!
I miss you gals!

So, Andrea, did you get the camera yet?
I don't get it. Our temps have been upper 80's and 90's. Beautiful outside (other than the wind). But on Thursday for our field trip to the zoo, it's going to be a high of 60! What's up with that!!??
I need to finish laundry today, as well as work on weekly blessing (hey, and it's Tuesday but no Baby C!! Yay!!).

Hi everyone -
I really like the camera Jenny - but haven't had the chance to really learn how to work all the bells and whistles. Need to get a card reader too.
Hi Heidi - yes, that is the kind of boat, but we just did the afternoon cruise and had pizza after. It was really nice - the lake was gorgeous.

Andrea, the boat tour sounds like fun!!!
Heidi, have fun at the cookout. Carrot Cake sounds yummy!
It's just another day here. While the rest of the country gets the day off, DH was up about 4:30 or so this morning to go bale some hay. Hopefully he will finish it this morning though and maybe spend the rest of the day with us. I know SIL went to the Ft. Sumner lake with their camper and boat and invited us along, it's about an hour or so away. I doubt we will go. MIL/FIL are out of town to a musical family reunion, so it's just us here at el rancho. Not sure if we will do anything special later or just lay around in the AC watching tv. I'm sure that's all DH will want to do, poor guy. He does work hard, I'll give him that.
I was up at 6:00 (why do I get up early on mornings I don't need to, and can't drag my butt out of bed on mornings I should?) and did 15minutes on the treadmill, showered, had breakfast and now on the computer. It's Monday, so I'm going to do laundry and maybe get the kids to help with weekly blessing. Found some of my scrapbooking stuff, so maybe I can work on a couple of pages there.
SCHOOLS OUT!!
Can you believe the teachers didn't want to keep the kids another second longer? What's up with that!? LOL!
Well, it really hasn't hit us yet, because today is just another Friday. Won't hit til next week when we really don't have to get up early on Monday. Or Tuesday. Or Wednesday. Or Thursday.
Yesterday I got most of the laundry washed and dryed, but not folded. I ended up spending way too much time fighting with my computer. Grrr...
But today, I'll get that folded. And I'll try to get my hanging baskets planted (because the wind is only supposed to get up to sustained winds of 25MPH). I may have to help DH move machinery around. And I think tomorrow he wants me to rake hay (wait a minute! Where am I going to put the 4 kids while I'm doing this? Guess they will all ride with me in the single cab pickup that pulls the rakes). I also need to cut the sleeves off a few of DH's shirts (they are longsleeved and he wants shortsleeved). House looks decent as far as basics go.
Tonight we have a grad party to attend, tomorrow graduation plus another grad party. Need to make cards for the grads I got gift cards for today, too.
Andrea, did you freeze your
Andrea, did you freeze your rear off? It was in the 90's here. LOL!
Party went well. A grandma brought her big blowup waterslide and the kids had a BLAST! But now DS5 wants one. I'm trying to explain money to him, but he doesn't get it. All those pennies he has makes him think he is rich. LOL! It has him quite grumpy.
I need to make some soup for a sick friend (an imaginary friend. Met him thru his blog, older man, lives in town, all alone in his RV. Had oral surgery yesterday, I thinks he needs something homemade). Will go to town either today or tomorrow to deliver, as well as get the grad gifts I need to get.
But for today, I have so many things to do I'm not sure where to start.
Yes I did! And I am going
Yes I did! And I am going to again tonite for DS's game. It is 47 chilly degrees right now! Sounds like a fun party -
That is nice of you to make soup - I am assuming this is the guy who comments on your blog?
Home from work and need to put laundry away and change clothes - DH has a roast in the crockpot for after the game = I think I'll make salt potatoes now and heat up later -

Goodness, Heidi! Busy day
Goodness, Heidi! Busy day you had!!! Do you have today off to recoop or you subbing again?
I still have one load of laundry to fold from yesterday. DH had cut my water off for a while so we could put in a couple hundred more feet of water line for the two new tanks going into the corrals. It was cold and windy, though. DH had to have cash for today's field trip to Lubbock with DD8's class, so we ran to town last night, had some dinner at PIzza hut and got a couple groceries at Walmart. I was going to run to town today to get DD10 a present, but maybe DH can do that tonight?
Just how windy was that wind a last week? DH and I were talking about the water tanks when we noticed that the portable one was GONE! The thing weighs a couple hundred pounds, about 10 feet across, and made of galvanized metal. It was in a fenced area, all fences were intact. We assumed someone stole it (which really freaked us out since that pen is right behind the house). But on a hunch I took the 4-wheeler out to the pasture and FOUND that tank about 1/4 mile away!
Ok, enough rambling. I've already got up at 6 and made the invitations for DDs party, got everyone up, dressed, fed, off to school. DS2 is still asleep, I've checked email and drank my slimfast.
I'm going to finish folding that last load of laundry, spiffy up the bathrooms and mop the kitchen. Clean a corner of my room, and try to scrapbook a little (if I can find all my equipment! Where is my papercutter and the sticky tape?). Oh, well. I also want to clean out the storage shed outside. After it warms up a little.
Heidi, I would LOVE to make
Heidi, I would LOVE to make greeting cards from scrapbooking supplies. I just haven't figured out how to do it yet. Or found my paper cutter. Or adhesive! Where are all my supplies! LOL! So, I usually just print one off on the computer, except my color cartridge is acting up. Soooo, I set the girls to make a card out of construction paper and markers. LOL!
I did get laundry folded, I did help DH rode machinery around, then my vehicle beeped at me and said 50 miles til empty. I knew that wouldn't be enough for the running around back and forth between fields and school and neighbors homes, so I ran up to the village 20 miles north of us to the nearest gas station to fill up on $3.94/gallon unleaded (don't even ask what deisel was). got home, bathed and showered everyone, then partied til about 10 last night.
What I didn't do was plant those hanging baskets. Because the wind blew. And was yucky. And sandy. But today it's only supposed to be 15-25, so maybe I can get it done. Before we go to graduation at 1. Then party afterwards for another grad. Who is actually our next door neighbor. They live 3 1/2 miles away by dirt road. Will be safe to do some drinkin' tonight! And probably guitar pickin', too. And me drinkin' plus guitar pickin' means I just may SING. LOL! Because afterall, the graduate doesn't care who is at her party, the party is for the parents to celebrate that they got her thru school, right? LOL!

We have a rare bird that has been hanging out at our house, a gooster, part goose and part rooster! It lands on our garage roof and says cock a doodle honk...LOL It perches up there like a rooster would but is a goose, too funny. Actually, according to neighbors, this pair has been returning here every spring for about 20 years. How long do they live??? I knew that they were monogamous. I wish they would stay near the pond out back though.
Have a good day
Heidi
Oh Heidi - take a nap today
Oh Heidi - take a nap today for goodness sake! And is there really such a thing as a gooster?? Weird!
I am taking a sick day - just plain wrung out and exhausted. Battling a bug too. So yes I do have a PODA - but I really need to relax - we'll see - it is mostly small stuff. I'll TADA it later -

Just hijacking your thread for some shameless maternal bragging!
I don't have time most days for creating a thread/posting but my heart is here with you all!
Much love,
Lenora
OMG, Heidi, that is too
OMG, Heidi, that is too funny!!
Andrea, you take a nap! Don't worry about flying today.
I, however, must. I helped dh with the other water tank yesterday. And I got my garden "rototilled". I say it in quotes because dh didn't get around to fixing my tiller again this year. So I did it by hand with a hoe. But now it's done and ready to plant whenever I get around to buying the plants and seeds. Can't do that alone, after all, it IS dd11s 4-H project.
Her slumber party is tomorrow night, so I need to get bathrooms cleaned up and make a few things like her cake and the dip. I won't be here all day tomorrow for DS5s field trip to the zoo.
time to go!
Hey gals! Did we all have a
Hey gals! Did we all have a good mother's day (those of us that are moms anyway)? Mine was just like any other day, except a couple of gifts (a plant for the porch and a couple of CDs. Which I thought was odd. Beastie Boys and AC/DC. I have enjoyed them, though. Lots of memories in that BB one. LOL!) However, just because my FIL put the briscut in the oven and took it out DOES NOT mean he fixed us dinner. MIL still made the rolls, I still made the mashed potatoes and dessert, and us gals still did all the dishes. LOL!
We also had a good party on Saturday (and used 3/4 of a big bottle of tequila!). Kids had fun (they did not have the tequila), adults had fun (hehehe). Good time had by all. And my cheesecake was KILLER!
Today I must do laundry. Also need to go to town and get groceries (and diapers. Need diapers!), rent a rototiller (since dh won't fix mine), try to get excused for jury duty (I thought I could handle it with the kids. I cannot), and feed store. I need horse feed badly. Friends coming over for dinner tonight. Need to work on bills. Yeah, I'll be busy
laters.
HI Everyone- 3/4 of a
HI Everyone-
3/4 of a bottle! I'm getting a hangover just thinking about that!
My M. Day was very nice - I received red roses and a Dunkin Donuts gift card from DH and kids, $ from my folks for my camera purchase, a framed photo from DD, and cake and a garden accesory from DS. Nice!! We went to the Lilac Festival in the city which was really nice.
Flying?
I did get all my cleaning done over the weekend at some point. So today just the regular: laundry, dinner, and who knows what else. Maintaining mostly.
See ya!

Congrats!
That's awesome Lenora! You must be very proud -

I had an upset tummy
I had an upset tummy yesterday so I didn't get much done. But today I've been whipping the kids into gear. I did a deep cleaning on the bathrooms (still have a tub to do). DDs are making sure I can vacuum right now, then I'm going to set one to work on dusting. If they don't kill each other with picking up the floor ("But she isn't picking up HER stuff" in a real whiney voice. Yeah, like that). Lordy, school is out in two weeks. Will we all survive the summer? LOL!
I also need to do some baking today. A cake for DH to take to his final exam tomorrow (his EMT-I class. They are having a pot luck after the exam while they wait for the lady to grade them). Plus make DD10's birthday cake (she requested cheesecake, who am I to argue?), and maybe put together the stuffed shells for tomorrow, too.
Dh is out buying the cement and stock tanks, and I guess I'll probably help put them in this afternoon.

Morning gals! Happy
Morning gals! Happy Monday!
I kept the house from falling apart at any rate. Got 4 loads of laundry done yesterday. Also got the garden planted (with DD11s help, since it IS her 4-H project) and even got a little sunburn doing it (it was upper 80's yesterday, and should reach 94 today).
This week will be a busy one. Last week of school! I have parties to organize and make stuff for. Today is DS5s Preschool Tea (kinda like a graduation for the older kids in the preschool. They wind the Maypole and all the kids sing song and get awards). Tomorrow is his play day/last day of school (I'm having a pizza party for them). Today is DD8's playday/field day. DD11 has finals on Thursday and Friday. Then we have two grad parties this weekend and one graduation.
But for today, I'll do weekly blessing. Not aiming very high this week. LOL!
Morning Everyone - Busy week
Morning Everyone -
Busy week ahead Jenny! As usual, I am now extremely jealous b/c while you have 1 week of school left, we have 6! Good luck with it all. By the way, my camera arrived but it still in the box! No time to unpack it.
Pretty busy week here too - something every nite - DH umping tonite, games on Tuesday and Wednesday, and a poetry reading Thursday (DD won a contest!). So maintaining and maybe doing some scrapping if I get the time.

The slumber party is still
The slumber party is still going on, and the girls are still...slumbering. LOL! I thought we would watch movies last night but they were too busy playing the PS2 (High School Musical SingIt and Guitar Hero III). Only 2 girls were able to come, but they have all been having fun. I'm going to fix waffles this morning for breakfast, and maybe later we will watch the movie. Or not. We will see. No flying for me, but I do need to handle the bills REALLY soon.
Jenny drinkin' and guitar
Jenny drinkin' and guitar pickin'??!! And singing?? Scary...
Great day here today - we are going to go out on a tour boat on a nearby lake - should be fun. DS's team won again yesterday - so their record is improving. I have laundry going now - also futzing with my camera a bit.
See ya!

Last day of school!!
Last day of school!! Whoohoo! I think. LOL! I hung around for an IEP meeting on DS5 with the speech therapist, preschool teacher and Kinder. teacher. Then had elementary awards ceremony for DD8. I'm home now with the boys and will pick the girls up later. More exams and parties for DD11, so I decided to leave DD8 for the rest of the day, too.
Laundry is piled high EVERYWHERE, so I need to tackle it. Wind is blowing bad. Hopefully tomorrow I can get my hanging baskets planted.
Andrea, yes, the same man that comments on my blog. Have you gotten the camera out yet?
That kind of schedule is
That kind of schedule is hard to deal with. I think it's a pretty valid reason to miss church. I live 25 miles from town, so the fuel is my (bad) excuse.
My casserole didn't turn out well today. I guess I overcooked the greens, they were mushy. Our grocery store quit carrying the broc. that I usually use. Then I burned the buns. Which was fine with DH and FIL, they LOVE things burned! Really, they do! But the mashed taters and the BBQ was good (you can't mess up my BBQ. The pork roast was homegrown, of course. Just cook it on low for 6-8 hours then make the sauce, throw the cut up meat in it, and let it sit overnight).
Flying today was keeping the kitchen clean and the rest of the house decent til the inlaws arrived. The four kids were fairly good about that today, you can still see the floor in their rooms. LOL! I had to go out and love the horses for a bit, too. DS2 likes to sit on the oldest one, he's my horse kid.
Jury duty first thing in the morning, after I drop the three off at school and the one at my MILs. I'll do groceries while in town, too. So ya'll have a good one!
Wow!! Congrats to DD!! I
