I go to the local "Health Center"Our gym used to be part of our local hospital. They have an indoor pool where you can bring your children during off times at no extra cost. This is great during the winter and when it gets too hot to be outside during the summer. The gym also offers nutrition classes and alerts where/when free health screenings are held. Can't beat that Oh ReallyI agree on the gas prices. How close is the health center from your home? I go to a local 24 Hour Fitness and it also has a Kids Club, so your kids can play while you work out. Another thing I like there is almost all the classes are free with your membership and theres about 30 different ones to choose from. I've been wanting to take some type of class to keep me motivated, a dance class would be nice. It's hard to go to the gymIt's hard to go to the gym after work because I'm tired and all I wanna do it go home, eat, and sleep. The other thing is that I hate having to deal with crappy people and their attitude, and not find parking. The other thing that is awful is waiting for equipment because the gym is so busy! I would love to be the workI would love to be the work out type. Who knows, maybe I am! Never really had the oppportunity. When I lived in town, I was too young or couldn't afford it. Most of my entire adult life (and part of my childhood) has been spent 26 miles from town, so going to the gym would be a silly reason to go to town more than once a week, especially with diesel hitting $4.15/gallon this week. It doesn't have childcare anyway. I did, however, buy my husband a home gym thingie a few years ago. It's pretty cool, got two benches on it and tons of different activities. And it looks real nice sitting in the back of the barn collecting dust. Oh, well. Guess I'm not a workout type. I'm a manual labor type. Give me a barn full of dirty stalls and a pitchfork, or a field of hay to buck. THAT'S a workout! LOL! I did move the treadmill back into the house from the barn this morning. I'm going to get busy with that. Maybe today. During nap time. Post new comment |
