View from the Treadmill January 2008

Yes! I'm back on the treadmill. What is working now is once again getting on the thing before I even come downstairs--first thing on rising. I have music on my iPod now and find that the time goes much more quickly than listening to podcasts or the radio, and I can go faster.

Yesterday I did 32 min @ 2.2 mph, and today I did 34 min @ 2.2 with a short burst up to 2.6 mph. And I felt FABULOUS.

I need to tweak my "fast" playlist. It's still too slow. I did 32 minutes @ ~2 mph.

I've been walking but forgetting to mark it down. I'm back in a slump again, it seems. I've been doing between 30-35 minutes at around 1.6-2 mph. I have been forgetting to eat again. How in the heck did I grow up to forget to eat? Me, the chow hound? It's a puzzlement.

I skipped Saturday and Sunday. Today I did 32 min @ a little over 2 mph. I have to go get something to eat but I'll be writing a blog post about my current soundtrack, because it's really helping motivate me.

I think I did too much today, but it felt so good while I was doing it. I did 1.09 miles in 35 min, which works out to close to 2 mph. I've been doing intervals, based on the song I'm listening to, so sometimes I was as slow as 1.9 mph and as fast as 2.8. Which I think may have been too fast, because I'm beat now. My bp and heart rate are ok--114/76 and 106 bpm 10 min after. I'll take it again in a bit. Right now I'm shaky. I'm drinking water and eating something; I haven't had much to eat today, either. Not really hungry. I think I need a new soundtrack...

32 min @ ~2 mph. I took it slower today because I got very little sleep last night, but I was enjoying myself so much (how did that happen?) that I went to 32 when I'd only intended to do 20. ah well.

Add a song about food to

Add a song about food to your soundtrack? Or the theme song for Alton Brown's show? Would that remind you to eat?!

What's the soundtrack you've been using?
