Hi All -
Hope everyone had a nice holiday yesterday! We did - pretty quiet - the kids had fun and seem to be enjoying their new gifts. Did an exchange this am and made a trip to the bank. now DH has the kids skating while I regroup. Need to finish laundry and also mop the kitchen floor. Our washer broke so we are doing wash at my parents' place and drying here. The repairman comes tomorrow , thank God!

No washer -- that is tough. Our part arrived for the DW, and we have a repairman coming on Friday. Only 6 weeks without a DW! (That's mostly time spent having DH say -- "I'll find a good place tomorrow," "I'll call tomorrow," etc. Guess who finally made the call . . . )

Gotta work tonight and get stuff picked up for Roomba. We are wall-to-wall presents!

Still no DW!

Submitted by Shaun on Sat, 12/29/2007 - 9:00am.

We got the new parts in the DW, only to hear that there is a plumbing problem, which I suspect may have caused the DW problem. So, still no working DW.

Plus! This morning I got up and there was water all over the kitchen floor, to the extent that it was dripping down into the basement! We haven't quite figured that one out, but my guess is that the valve for the line into the DW was turned the wrong way, so that even though it is broken, it was putting a steady drip of water into the DW. Why it leaked out, however, is another question. Argh!

Still, I'd rather go without a dish washer than a clothes washer! Glad you got yours fixed, Andrea!

Working day today (freelance), and ongoing picking up.

Well, I know where Jenny is, but where is everyone else?

I've been undecorating, gradually. Doing some spot cleaning - baseboards and such. Reading some, going to do some scrapping today. That's about it!

Happy New Year to everyone!

Honey, I'm home!!

We had the ultimate Christmas and SURPRISED my mother, et al, for the holidays. And boy, did it surprise them! LOL! It was lots of fun though, with LOTS of references to National Lampoons Christmas Vacation (we took the RV, and it made the neighbors Christmas when we pretended to dump the holding tanks into the sewer, all while holding a beer and shouting "shitters full". They are my mother's best friends and they all LOVE that movie). It was just great! But driving 1300 miles with 4 kids wasn't that much fun. LOL! They were well behaved, even the baby. But man that's long!

So now, home.

I have a camper to unload and much stuff to find places for. Laundry to do, Christmas to put away. I should put the computer away and not get it out til it's all done (but then when would I be back?).

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year!
