Making Holiday Gifts

Is anyone planning on making any gifts this year to give to family and friends? I always do a cookie and candy basket of assorted goodies to give to a few friends but this year I thought I might get a little more creative. Better.tv has step by step directions on how to make this pretty candle wreath that would be a nice center piece for a dining room table. I'm thinking of making it for my mother. I'm normally not very crafty but it doesn't appear to be too difficult. What gift ideas does everyone else have?

That sounds lovely!
Oh wow Jennye, that sounds wonderful! I'm sure it looks gorgeous and they will absolutely love it! How long did it take to make? My ideas are a bit more simple than that. I wish I knew how to make something that intricate and detailed. I have been wanting to learn how to knit and crochet but I just haven't done it yet. Maybe I will learn in the new year and then everyone will get homemade gifts next year! I'm finishing up my wrapping today and tomorrow. I found some instructions on how to make cute and decorative bows for my gifts on www.better.tv. They have dressed up my packages and look lovely under the tree! I still have a few more gifts to buy and cookies to make but I'm almost set for the holidays!

I make tins of Christmas
I make tins of Christmas goodies for teachers, the mail lady, and the UPS guy (even though he is Jehoviahs Witness, he never turns it down, not in 12 years! LOL!). The teachers appreciate it, because they really don't need yet another coffee mug and sometimes don't have time for alot of baking themselves.
This year I made my stepbrother and his wife a quilted Christmas tree skirt. It has moose and log cabin appliques. I still need to do the binding on it. I try to make one gift a year, I have a hard time finding the time to make more than that.
