I walked Friday night 30 min @3 mph with a 1%. Sunday walked 20 min @3 mph with a 2% incline and this morning walked 25 min @ 3mph and 2% incline. I am having a hard time getting up earlier during the week to walk. Maybe because it gotten alot colder at night.

I have been SO down the last few days. Did manage to walk on 11/1 but haven't till today. I'm planning on going up for my walk in a minute here.

Took me a while to figure it

michelleW's picture

Took me a while to figure it out. LOL.
I forgot to mention I spent 3 hrs walking at the Zoo Saturday, but that was alot of stopping and starting. Also went to Lloyd center for a couple of hrs shopping. So I did spend most of the day walking.

That sounds good Jenny. I

michelleW's picture

That sounds good Jenny. I had left over mexican food for lunch.
Tonight I walked for 30 minutes with a 2% incline. Had to stop 3 times for dd5 to get in the shower, the phone, and back to wash her hair. Finally got to 1.5 miles. Went anywhere from 3-4.5 mph.
I wish I had had my treadmill when I was pregnant the last time. As it was we went to walmart every night and walked around for an hour or so to get some exercise.LOL.

Or try 20!

Jilsyt's picture

I started out doing 15 minutes as well...then convinced myself that five more minutes isn't THAT much longer (made it to 20). Then a little while later did the same thing. After awhile, I was able to jog on the treadmill for a full 20 minutes, then do a cool down (5-10 min). Although, I'm getting VERY tired of this "pregnancy" exercise, as I'm used to running (6 MPH) and now, I'm at 3, which isn't bad, it's still good, but not what I've been used to. 17 more weeks. Pray for March 5 to hurry!!!

Your day would so mess up my

michelleW's picture

Your day would so mess up my diet. I have no will power and would have to taste all of it. I have'nt been on the treadmill since Sunday.

Nope, #3!!

Jilsyt's picture

I'm actually working on #3...DS is 4, DD is 2, and this one...well, the doc says it's a girl. Ultrasounds are better these days, but I don't ever count on them.

I LOVE bake sales!! Tomorrow, we'll be having a taste test of our own...a food storage fair. We're all cooking with stored whole grains to show each other (and other attendees) what we can do with our grains. Yum!!!

As for the treadmill:
4MPH with incline of 5 for 13 min. Then to the 20 mark at 0 incline (still 4) cool down at 3 MPH. Felt good, but I needed a nap later. Thank heaven for miracles that both kiddos decided they needed a rest, too! (Runny noses and head colds CAN be a blessing.)

I'm finding I can't do 30

jennye's picture

I'm finding I can't do 30 minutes. Not that I physically can't. But I just get to thinking about everything else that needs to be done (like making a couple dozen layered pew bows for a wedding this weekend, and proofreading my MIL's 550 page genealogy book that she really needs done, and my biology homework, and the laundry and housework and getting baking stuff done for the church and for the 5th grade bake sale and the remodeling in the old garage/new office and playing with the baby and AHHHH!!!!). I feel guilty for taking 30 minutes for myself.

However, I'm taking a page from Flylady. I can do ANYTHING in 15 minutes. So that's what I did. Set the time for 15, put my iPod on some C+C Music Factory (yeah, from like the 80's. Things that make you go, HMMMMMM), and got busy. I fluctuated between 3.5 and 4 MPH as I felt like it, got .9 mile done at 2% incline. Then did a quick set of situps and pushups, and now enjoying some sweet tea for breakfast and checking my email. I don't know if I'll do another 15 minutes later (probably not today). But I think it's a good start to a routine.

I was able to add an extra

jennye's picture

I was able to add an extra MINUTE to the treadmill today (because the baby was still sleeping after not going to bed til after MIDNIGHT last night!). I just had to get to exactly 1 mile for me to quit. I fluctuated between 3 and 5 MPH at 2% incline. I broke a sweat, I actually did! A set of pushups and situps (though the situps was a feeble attempt, I was tired after the running!). Then I hit the shower while I still had time (and sure enough, when I got back to my room to get dressed, baby was waking up). Ya know, guess he really isn't a baby anymore, he will be 2 in a couple of weeks. LOL!

However, trying to watch what I eat today won't go as planned. I'm making 2 loaves of banana bread and 2 batches of brownies (which means there are bowls and beaters that must be licked clean). Then I'm off to school to work my DD10's class bake sale. Which means there will be homemade burritos!!! OMG, those are so good!!! As long as they use green, not red chile. LOL!

I got up early and walked

michelleW's picture

I got up early and walked 1.5 miles @ 3mph for 30 minutes. Back to airport yesterday, so only walking was about an hour at Ikea, I wish that store was closer to home.

I am trying to walk off

michelleW's picture

I am trying to walk off Thankgiving dinner. I walked Thursday 25 minutes for 1.25 miles. Friday I spent shopping so that must count for something. Today I walked 25 minutes for 1.5 miles.

Michelle

I walked 30 minutes today @

michelleW's picture

I walked 30 minutes today @ 3mph most of the time with a couple of spurts at 4.5 mpt with a 2% incline. Started with 5% and couldn't figure out why it was so hard. I went 1.5 miles. First time all week I've had any time or energy to walk. I looked back on my calander and realized I've lost and gained the same two lbs for a whole month. I need to get it in gear.
Hope everyone is doing better then me.

I didn't eat as much dessert

michelleW's picture

I didn't eat as much dessert as I normally do. But had lots of other food. I walked again this morning for 20 minutes at 3 mph. Couldn't get motivated to walk any longer.

I haven't been doing any at

jennye's picture

I haven't been doing any at all. No time the last week or so. Thankfully I didn't splurge too bad at TG dinner. LOL! Just didn't feel like it when dinner time came around, and seems like there wasn't much good stuff there. anyway, I'm going to try some more treadmill this week.

20!

jennye's picture

Honey, you're working on kid #2, right? When you get 4 on the ground, talk to me about time. LOL!!!! But I am working on it, 15 minutes at a time. Seeing all those skinny Dallas cheerleaders is my motivation. No, I'll never be that skinny again, wish I had took advantage of showing off my body when I did! But at least I don't look too bad in my Rockies.

Mmmmm, it was so good,

jennye's picture

Mmmmm, it was so good, Michelle!!! Coke floats, pickles, little bitty cheesecakes, cupcakes, about 6 different kinds of homemade cookies, homemade rice crispie treats, my still warm brownies and banana bread (which were gone before 2nd lunch bell), and a few store bought things like Little Debbies, and grab bags of leftover halloween candy. And of course burritos (had red and green ones. The green ones were mild enough a gringo like me could eat them. LOL!). We didn't have alot left over. Our total student body is about 230 students, and we made $433 for the 5th grade. This will pay for field trip stuff.

I myself had two burritos, but that's all I had time for. DSalmost2 ate some oatmeal raisin cookies, some peanut butter cookies, and a cupcake.
