Your time will come too!
Hello, all and thankyou for having me as a new member!
I just wanted to share with you all that I have recently had a very new life altering experience as a mom with a pre-kindergartener as her youngest child.
Why it was just last June that I struggled in the supermarket with him in the aisles..praying that I could get to the checkout without a meltdown!
September is coming, september is coming..I chanted.
I always thought that getting all of my chores done before lunch would be like winning the lottery.
But I am here to tell you ladies that-gasp-it is NOT!
Where is my little guy who used to be in front of the tv watching "Diego" asking me for another fruit snack?
And..my lunch buddy is gone! He has happily left me for his teacher and new friends.
And so I have stopped asking the teacher at pick up time whether or not he is "really adjusting".
Growth is essential for all of us children AND parents included.
I realized that this is a new stage in my life that needs to be addresed and most of me is embracing that too.
But for those of you moms with the toddlers on your hips in the grocery store;
keep the faith and enjoy the present because your time will come too!

careful what you wish for
It was just the other day that i had posted for you all about how I was in mini-crisis about my youngest going off to pre-k and BAM! my little guy's teacher called me in for a "conference"..it seems that he is not ready for a full day and I will have to pick him up at the regular rather than extended-day time.
And here I was just getting ready to begin a career again.
Oh well, I guess I am still needed after all.
