One of the best new things I tried in my class was Tai Chi. I had never really thought much about tai chi -- I have done yoga, dance, all kinds of things, but tai chi just wasn't one of them. When we did it in class, however, it really connected with me as a way to move and meditate at the same time -- so much easier than sitting meditation!

I got a video for "AM and PM Chi," and so far I really like it. I've only done the pm version, but it is so calming and grounding. It's true, sometimes the words make me laugh. "Raise your arms for total body purification," etc., somehow sounds like a really weird car wash. But in general I think of it as guided visualization, and if somehow I am moving stagnant chi out of my liver (where stagnant chi can apparently be linked to depression) all the better.

I see the Amazon reviews are not great, but what do I know. I thought the pm instructor was just fine!

I'm a believer!

DH and I have been getting acupuncture treatments for the past few months. DH has made tremendous gains after several detox treatments. Our acupuncturist, in addition to having a Master's in Oriental Medicine, has a Master's in Nursing and was an Army Nurse for 9 years. She theorized that DH's myriad health problems were aggravated, if not caused by, heavy metal toxicity. It's a theory that makes sense, given all of the not-so-nice places that Uncle Sam has sent him over the course of his Army career, bolstered by far too many vaccines.

We'll be joining you in doing those Tai Chi DVD's!
