Is it Monday? Why, yes, it is! LOL!

Yesterday DD10 broke her glasses. So she is at Volleyball camp right now trying to hit any white ball heading her way. This morning the water shut off on her right after she got conditioner in her hair. I think the water pump overheats and shutsoff so it can cool down. But this can't go on with 6 of us in the house. I took a shower at 8, she took one at 8:15. What happens when they are teens?

So anyway, got the girls dropped off at camp. Will pick up at noon. Need to go to town to see if the eye doctor can fix her glasses. Wonder if that will warrant a trip to bigger town if he can't do it? Have appts for the girls to get a haircut (it's been over a year) at 3:30. I need to have mine touched up, but there is no one to watch the boys, so I will have to sacrifice. DH is planting, or cutting, or spraying all week. MIL has company all week.

I'm rambling. It's going to be such a busy week! We also have VBS every night this week, so that's going to town every night. Leave for vacation on Saturday, IF DH gets all his work done. We also have to drag our camper back over here so I can clean it out good (since MIL had company in it), then pack it up ready to go to SA/CC. Still need to make RV reservations in SA.

Oh, and I caught 3 mice yesterday in my house. Three of them. Ewwww!!!!

Better go start some laundry. While I have water.

Well, wasn't such a bad day. Except I ran out of gas. On my way to town, I had to make an unexpected detour to my inlaws to pick up lunch for my FIL and take it to the field for him (he was planting for DH while he was cutting another field). I decided I was too low on fuel to make it to town and headed home to switch vehicles. 1/2 mile from the house, my Yukon DIED! Not relishing the thought of walking that with 4 kids, one a sleeping baby, in 94 degree heat, I sat a moment, got it to start again, and got 1/4 mile. Repeat. coasted up to the house.

Anyway, switched trucks since I didn't have enough in the gas can to make it to town. Refilled that. Got new glasses for DD10 ordered (be here Wed, under warranty still). Got girls' hairs cut (DD10 went a bit shorter than I wanted, but oh, well. She got to donate her hair we cut off). Walmart, Subway, church for VBS. I'm tuckered.

Tomorrow we get to do it all again! yippee!

Yesterday was the first time I ever ran out of gas before. At least I made it to the house and not out on the road somewhere in the middle of nowhere.

Yay on the scrapping. I'm so far behind and haven't even touched my stuff in so long, I probably forgot how to use it! LOL!

This morning, VB camp. Tonight, VBS. In between, I may have to help DH a bit. He is hauling cattle today. That will be 3 trips to bigger town for him. Unless he borrows someone's trailer and gets me to haul a load, too. Which I doubt. Anyway, I may fly some in between as well.

Need to have dinner made early so kids and DH can reheat. I will be gone several hours over dinnertime for a strategic planning meeting/dinner...what fun...bleh

Looks like rain here,hopefully. We are having some kids and moms over tomorrow after swimming lessons to swim and hang out here. DD had 2 of the 4 kids in her K class last year. Should be fun. Well, hope you guys have a pleasant day today.

Argh, I am computer-impaired today.

I am feeling for Jenny and Heidi and their unpleasant tasks. So far my main annoyance today has been DD4's ongoing refusal to use the toilet -- I'll spare you the gory details, but I'll just say that I am getting pretty tired of all the yucky clean up.

DH says he is feeling a lot of sympathy for his parents right now, because she is clearly taking some cues from his own childhood playbook. Double argh!

Lots of planning and paperwork today while the sitter is here. Called Disabled Vets to come pick up a big pile of decluttering. Whoohoo!

I'm still working on my house but I can't say I am really flying. I never made it past day 6 in the baby steps. I will start with day 6 today. That is progress in itself. Before, I would start over on day 1. I have done days 1-10 or so countless times!

Alysa is doing really good at going to bed in her room. She likes me to sit in the rocker while she goes to sleep most nights but I will do that for awhile. I'm not having to rock her and she's not nursing! Hooray. Not that I didn't enjoy it but she is 15 months now and with another one here in less than 4 months. mommy wanted a little break. She is now sleeping through the night. If she wakes it's on;y once and most of the time goes right back to sleep on her own. I am so happy. I didn't hear a peep from her until 7:30 this morning.

I know this week is bathroom-other room zone. It looks like Flylady wants us to work in the office but I am working on my living room. It the first room you enter when you come in the house so I'd really like it done. Most of the clutter is from the 8 banana boxes of "Stuff" that came back from my mom's! AHHHH

I can't believe that I will be cleaning out her 6 bedroom house next week. It'll be so hard to let go of most of her things - but I can't keep it all.

I decluttered a little yesterday. Got rid of 2 small trash cans of papers from the office and did a few drawers in the desk. Also did desk chores yesterday, working on bills and other paperwork shtuff. Bleh.

DD10 was throwing up all day yesterday. She had to come home early from VB camp (DD8 stayed and won a t-shirt for most improved). I also left DD10 for the first time by herself yesterday. She wasn't riding in the truck well without throwing up, so she stayed at home while I picked up her sister (school is just 5 miles away). Then last night she went to inlaws so the other kids could go to VBS. Drew and I went to McDs and played on the playground. Ran into some other folks I knew there, had nice adult conversation for a little while.

No more camp, just VBS at night. So I'll work on stuff today. Laundry, dishes (DW needs to be run), maybe work on the office some more.

Well, I didn't do so hot yesterday - no scrapping or Zone work. I did make a really nice meal for my friend though. We had a fun dinner out at Bugaboo Creek with the inlaws with some shopping before for the kids. They are leaving this am so my schedule will clear up a bit.

Good morning!

Yesterday was a crash. We ended up having to drive to bigger town so DH and I could sign some papers. Got lunch at Chili's for it, a few other errands run while up there (Walmart, Lowes, Discount Tire). Got home in time to kick DH out of the vehicle then back to other town for VBS. Baby and I cleaned out the Suburban and vacuumed, then ran thru the car wash.

But I didn't get the errands in town down, because it was after 5 and everyone just rolls up the sidewalks and lock the doors then. Today I will go a little early to VBS so I can get the registration on Suburban renewed and DD's glasses fixed (hope they are in. They didn't call).

DH is supposed to bring home the camper today from the inlaws (there is probably some organic turds floating in the tank. LOL!). I need to get it ready to go on Saturday (MIL, bless her heart, washed and put back all the sheets for me already). Mainly I just need to load it. Get everything ready in the house to go, though. Laundry, cleaning (I want it spic and span when we leave!).

OH, caught another mouse. I sure wish I could find where they are coming in from, because I'm baffled. This is the first year in five we have ever had a problem with mice! Ugh! I just hope those rattlesnakes don't find away in here, too. Called the contractor guy, hopefully next month we will have the doors on the garage done. Maybe that will take care of it.

OH gross Jenny, about the camper! Stop it!

Was nice to find MIL had the camper all cleaned for me. So all I have to do is load it. DH and I went out last night and got a new DVD player for the pickup (I'll get it out and set it up today. There is no way we would be able to survive Drew if he doesn't have Thomas the Tank Engine on. Chance was the same way at that age, but with The Wiggles. Imagine two days from New Mexico to Atlanta with every other song "Fruit Salad, Yummy Yummy").

We decided we will just stop by Walmart on the way out of town and pick up groceries tomorrow (oh, AND the HP book!!). DD10 and I are arguing about who gets to read it first, so I think I'll just read it outloud to everyone.

Tonight is last night of VBS. They do a program and lots of homemade ice cream afterwards. Yummmmy! I wish we could go to a HP party the university's campus bookstore is having, but the timing won't work.

So, I work on house, laundry, and packing today. Yay!

Hi Heidi - I finally finished BS today - I would give it a B-. Which one did you read next? I may grab it -

I did pretty good today too, I won't TADA it, let's just say I feel good about it. I did mop the kitchen, which always lifts my spirits. I know, I'm crazy. My rhythm this summer has been to do a big chore, 15 minutes in a Zone, and scrapping, but that is way too much, with all of the running, errands, and occasional work, so I am cutting back to just 2 of the first 3, if that makes any sense.

We have a fairly open weekend, with just one game tomorrow. If the boys lose they are done, if they win they continue on in the All-Stars tournament. It is getting pretty exciting if I do say so myself! They are playing another area now.

Amy, come back! Where did you go? I know you are busy, I read your blog.

Isn't Amy off cleaning her late mother's 6 bedroom house for 2 weeks?

Putt putt sounds like so much fun! When Drew gets older maybe I can take them again.

No flying, again. Well, finished laundry, made banana bread, and got all the kids clothes sorted and loaded in the camper, as well as most of the food. Still need to do mine and DH's clothes, a little more food. Oh, and clean out the pickup, too. Didn't get around to that today. I did finish bills, yay for me. AND got them mailed. LOL! Spent a while helping DH move tractors around (moved them to his parents house from the fields) and looking at the crops for a while. I hate driving with DH. He's always, "your going to fast, slow down!", "why don't you go faster?", and "why aren't you looking at the crops?", then "watch the road!". I give up! LOL! So frustrating.

Anyway, still a few more things to do before hitting the sack. We hope to leave by 10am tomorrow. If I don't make it here, have a great week!

Yes, I think Amy is cleaning out her Mom's house - just thought she might pop in now and then.

Well, I'm up and haven't done much yet. Plan on walking in a bit and maybe doing some yoga. Maybe I'll do some sort of zone chore today. Are we still in the bathroom?

Hey Jo - great to see you!!! Hang in there - you are amazing doing all you are doing right now.

Hi Heidi - DS's All-Star team won 3 games and therefore won that bracket. They then entered a single elimination tournament and lost the first game!! It was 9-6, one of those games that could go either way - a heartbreaker! So baseball is over now - as much as I complained it was a ton of fun. The team may stick together a bit to do some tournaments, etc. so that will be nice. I am recovering from Darien Lake as I type. It was fun, but kinda hard juggling 4 kids of different ages - 2 boys and 2 girls. We did a ton of the water rides. Don't talk to me about back to school. I am so not ready.

OK, flying you ask?? Well, laundry is pretty much caught up - one load to move over now. DH made dinner and dishes are done. House is tidy. That's about it! I'm working tomorrow, interviews for my new boss - that should be interesting!!

There is a saying I've always found funny -- "Hotter than a mug." Well, it must be at least that hot here today. Only in the 90s, but with the humidity, well, you know . . . It's a "Thank God for AirCo," stay-inside kind of day.

I think I'll spend a lot of today straightening the basement. Did a lot of decluttering with the PO there on Monday, but did not really clean up my mess. I think kids and babysitter may hide down there this afternoon while I go to my class. We only have window air, so it can still feel pretty *bleh* in here.

Gotta get dinner prep done before I go, too -- I think shrimp and brown rice stir fry. OOps, there's the brown rice timer now!

Tomorrow is MIL bday party at my SIL's house. They are having a cookout and I made MIL bday cake(carrot). Had to make 2 since DH's family is a big one. So that took up most of my Friday. DD is still in level 3 for next summer although she passed half of the requirements. I just want her to swim well enough in the water,not too concerned with mastering all the different strokes,etc. Rained every day this week so hopefully we will have a better week next week so I can take the kids to the beach one day.

Got in about an hour ago. I'm very sunburnt, had lots of good food (Andrea, we didn't eat at Alamo Cafe. Actually, only ate at one place in SA, and one place in Corpus Christi. Had BK yesterday, because we don't have that here at home, and Cracker Barrel for breakfast for the same reason. Other than that, we ate in the camper). Had a great time. But now is the unloading of the camper. All the clothes and food and other stuff needed to survive a week away from home with 4 children, cleaning the darn thing, then doing all the laundry.

I am going to try to stay off the computer as much as possible this week. I need to learn that I just don't need it much. So I will try to be scarce. Hope it works. School starts in 2 1/2 weeks, and I'm tired of my house looking like this. It's not bad. But can be better. Our church is having a yard sale next weekend, I may haul some stuff down to it.

Welcome back Jenny! Sounds like a great vacation! You are right about the computer - it can be a BIG time waster. I have limited my blogs to just a handful lately.
