Sorry about this guys, but I am getting desperate as to what to do for this medical problem I have, and all the wise people I know are right here
Too much information coming up...
I had Lateral Internal Sphincterotomy surgery for a chronic anal fissure almost four weeks ago. I was in such awful pain I was so relieved to be finally having it done, but my problems haven't gone away. After I recovered from the surgery (which took 3 weeks or so) I am now having the same type and level of pain that I had pre-surgery which is leading me to think that a) it didn't work or b) the fissure has recurred already. I want to avoid another surgery if possible. It is vital that I get my BMs as soft as possible to avoid pain and promote healing. I am drinking 2 litres of water and a litre of apple juice every day, as well as having changed to brown rice, pasta and bread, and increasing my fruits and veggies. It still seems to be completely arbitrary whether my BMs are hard or soft. I can find little correlation between this and what I have eaten, despite keeping a food diary.I am also using isphalluga husk and stool softeners, which also seem to make little difference.
So....any help with making BMs VERY soft - what can I do? I don't have a problem with regularity, just consistency. Also, any ideas as to herbal/homepathic remedies for chronic anal fissure? Anything that promotes healing, also anything that decreases internal muscular spasm. Help! It's agonising
