Handier than you think!
Citric acid can keep fruit from turning brown, can be used to set dyes (more cheaply than vinegar), can help with natural cleaning tasks, and a lot more! Any time you need sourness in cooking, citric acid can give it to you when you're out of lemons, for instance. Very handy stuff.
