Beannachtam na Feile Padraig

Or, in English,
Happy St. Paddy's Day!
Went to Downtown Portland today and someone was playin the pipes at Pioneer Square. It was lovely.
DD's school arranged for a piper to come and play for the children (there's about fifty children there on any given day). He stayed for an hour and a half playing in the playground/garden area. The children danced. The director said you could all but see the leprechans. May we all experience magic like that more often.
An Irish Blessin' fer ye:
May those who love us love us.
And those that don’t love us,
May God turn their hearts.
And if He doesn’t turn their hearts,
May he turn their ankles,
So we’ll know them by their limping.

If you have a favorite Irish Blessing, do share!

I had an Irish-American boss whose favorite line was, "Sure and be horsesh*t." I think of her every year on St. Pat's.
