I am a stay at home Mom of a wonderful 12 year old, Matthew, who is autistic. He has inspired me for years, really. I started Beading 5 years ago and recently started my own group with a fellow beader. I have decided to start making jewelry to promote autism awareness and to make other pretties to sell and wear! I will gratefully say that I must have inherited my talent from my mom who used to make wire and bead jewelry. Thanks Ma! I also love photography and writing short stories/fanfiction. I have many new interests and thankfully my husband of nearly 2 years is very understanding. He will happily babysit his stepson so that I can get out of the house. I spent so much time working up until 6 months ago, that I missed out on so many things. I spent so much of my spare time working OVERTIME for a horrible company that my health suffered as well as my beading. I never got to do anything. So, now here I am 6 months later doing way more than I did a year ago. I have my own blog at: www.scificrafter.blogspot.com, which I just started today. I am hoping to talk to many other beaders, Moms of children with Autism and Sci Fi lovers too. I am just happy to out of my "box".
