Eight years! That's awesome. I've only been here about a year, but I can definitely attest to it being a great resource on the "staying home transition". Thanks for starting it up, Lynn.

Glad I finally found you after all these years

Waiting for Mercury to go direct on the 8th...the kinks will probably work out of your server by then. I know it has been frustrating for you Lynn. I also find it frustrating, but know it probably has to do with Mercury in retro. Of all the planets, this is the only one I actually track on my calendar.

There are times when I am searching through the site only to have it freeze up on me and not let me go any further...have to close out my browser and start over. This too shall pass and I shall hang in there...you do the same, we are almost there

As I say every year, I found this site just a few months after its launch, when my DD 7 (nearly 8!) was born. Every year I say that I recall sitting in my dark kitchen relying on the web to help me make sense of the dramatic changes in my life during the months to follow. TNH changed/saved my life! So I figure it's worth repeating.

And it only took 7 years of reading to end my long flirtation with homeschool and finally commit (one year ago this week, BTW).

Wow, 8 years is good going. I think I've probably been around for about 5 or 6 of them. Lets have many more of support, friendship, moaning and celebrating the home life

Happy Birthday TNH! And thanks gobs Lynn! Like Shaun, I checked in at the very beginning when my DD was 4 months old. So I was coping with being a mom, having 2 kids (DS was just over 2 at the time), ,and staying home. DD is now 8 and DS is 10!! Wow! Haven't missed more than a day or two since - hard to believe!

Planning a 10 year get-together-bash!

I think I've been around since the fall of 2000, though less these days now that I've gone to work. I've also felt that TNH was a lifesaver and that the friends I have here offer me much in the way of support!

I may have my differences with Lynn and many others, but this has been the best place for me to come get advice and support since I first logged on about 7 years ago when I had a 2 year old and infant (wow, there was a time when I only had two kids!?).

I don't think DH and I were even married yet when I first logged on here! It was either just before or just after our wedding, I remember that much. Time flies.

I first happened on TNH in early 2002, a few days after discovering Flylady. I googled 'Flybabies' and met a whole gang of great new friends

My Flybaby days are long behind me (I can't keep up with it, kudos to those who can!) but this is still my favourite place to hang out.

well it isn't the first this year and it won't be the last. Disgusting since I was also here shortly after the beginning when DS was only a few months old and is now over 8. I not coming here every day like I used to (often several times a day because my life in Singapore was seriously boring!) but I reckon I still think of everyone most days.
