Phew, 2007 really blew in with a vengeance. DH's surgery, DD3's UTI, and then, Friday night, my FIL had a heart attack. (Kind of disrupted the scrapping weekend, but obviously that's not what I was thinking about!)
We are so glad that he is recovering and doing well -- he had angioplasty and a stent. One artery was 99% blocked. Not sure what the prognosis is but it should be reasonably good now.
I am hoping that things will slow down as we ease into the rest of the new year! My house sure looks like we've been busy!
Tonight, however, I came home and the kitchen floor had been mopped. Apparently there were a couple of massive spills that made it necessary while I was away. Hey, if that's what it takes . . .
Shaun, sorry about your FIL! Same thing happened to my stepfather last month (but didn't need any stents, thank goodness).
Kitchen is clean, living room mostly picked up. I got letters printed out to give to the elementary cheerleaders to remind them about the game we will cheer at Friday. Will pass out in the morning. It's almost 10, all kids are asleep (for now), I think I'll hit the sack.

Why is filing away 2006 papers so hard for me?? I have a file cabinet with labelled folders,it's a no brainer. Oh well.......
Can tell the walking is working,my clothes feel a bit looser and no insomnia yet this week!!!
It's cold here this morning. No snow, though. We aren't usually that lucky down here. Although they have been predicting either snow or ice before the end of this month (no ice, please!).
I was thinking over the weekend that this is the first January in 14 years that I haven't had to be worried over doing 1099's and putting in massive hours to get it all checked and re-checked and then printed. Woohoo! My new job definitely has drawbacks, but I'll trade the massive stress from the old job for this one anyday.
Took DD7 to basketball practice yesterday, then home to do homework and eat dinner. Then we went to my nephew's & niece's basketball games. Had fun, but DD wasn't ready for bed when we got home. Finally settled down, though.
Today's PODA:
* Make deposit of Christmas check at bank
* Work on next two chapters in Bible study
* Search for cute icebreaker activities for next 11 weeks
* Get a newspaper so I'll have grocery sales ads
* Work at office 8-3
* Awana tonight at 6:45
Co-worker told boss yesterday that she need to be off 1/29 and 1/30. Boss looked at me, to question whether I'd be there & I said I'd work my usual 8-3, but I couldn't stay until 5 either day. Don't know if she really comprehended that because she told co-worker "that should be OK". I guess she'll know on the 29th when I get my stuff and leave at 3! I was hired to work 8-3. Nothing was EVER said about working until 5 when my co-worker is off. I did it a few times at end of 2006 & set a bad precedent. (I am a pleaser & have a hard time saying "no"). But, my Mom has so much on her plate, I can't expect her to always pick up DD. I've taken her back to work with me and it was a nightmare, PLUS it's 20 miles roundtrip which is a lot of wasted gas for me. And, though school has an aftercare program (which boss is NOT aware of!), I'm not willing to pay for her to stay and then by the time I'm paid, I've made hardly anything to work 2 hours. So, I'm being a non-loyal employee I guess. Boss could stay 3-5 by herself, she just does not want to learn how to take payments. She has done it lately, though, so maybe she's decided that she can in fact do it. Heck, she owns the company, shouldn't she know how to do most everything, at least generally?
Well, better run for now. Gotta get coats on & get gone.
Have a great fly-day everyone!

Heidi, it was about June when I got my 2005 filing all done!! LOL! My next trip to town, I need to get me an accordian folder for my 2006 stuff.
Big snow expected for this weekend. I'm pretty stocked up on stuff, but need some milk, bread and hamburger buns (and might as well get some hotdogs and marshmellows so we can roast them in the fireplace for some fun, or if the power goes out. I talked to a rancher yesterday at the post office who has been out of power for 5 days and it was going to be a couple more at least before it came back on). Not sure if I will do that today or tomorrow.
PODA

Tomorrow the sattellite guy comes to install. I just can not believe we are getting it. It has been 17 years of just NBC and CBS at our house. But, it was the one thing we can do so our kids won't be so different from the vast majority of their peers. They don't have cars, don't have their own snowmobiles and four-wheelers, don't have season passes to the ski resort, no internet at the house because we can only get dial-up, and so on. DS16.5 in particular if feeling very self-concious lately about the differences between us and other families. So, I gave in. We'll see. I'm kinda sad about it, but I understand too.
My in-laws had a chimney fire this morning. Got it out with 6 big fire extinguishers from our business befor the fire trucks got there, but still very scary for them.
Good luck with that Jo - I am amazed you have lasted so long w/o all that stuff!
I didn't know you cut DH's hair Jenny! Cool!
Waves to everyone else - I am reading along!
Busy day today - mopped the kitchen after work, it was driving me crazy. Did one load of laundry and that's about it. DD is having sleep issues so I am struggling with that -
Took kids to Target after dinner. DS wanted something with some Xmas money and DD got to pick out something from the $1 bins from the tooth fairy money she got the other night. So all the campers are happy!!
DH stayed home today, got the flu I think. Hope he doesn't share it with us. He is quarantined upstairs until further notice.
Jenny-you could really take out your anger on DH hair if you really wanted to,give him a reverse mohawk or some such thing.
Andrea-what's up with DD? Is she waking at night or having trouble falling asleep?
Love the one spot at Target Heidi! Fortunately it is 25 minutes from my house otherwise I'd be spending lots of ones!
DD is just having worries about falling asleep and difficulty getting to sleep. She stresses about it. She is usually still in bed by 9:00 and up at 6:30 or 7:00 which is not bad for an 8 tear old, but the time between 8:00 and 9:00 is hell! I've given her Benadryl, but hate to get into that habit. Now we're on chamomile herbal drops. She also likes to sleep in our guest room which is a problem b/c DH is often in there when I am bugging him! There have been nights when either I or DH are in her little twin bed - crazy! Hopefully she will get through this stage quickly...
Right now all is quiet, but I prob'ly just jinxed it - I'm off to read or something - bye!

Truly, I do. It would be more humerous if it weren't so very sad. The man is especially nutty. My coworker has been working on something for him all week. Computer keeps knocking her out and erasing the work. Finally came to a conclusion on how to get it entered yesterday with the help of the regional office and home office. Boss first of all says to do it opposite of what the company says. So, who is gonna take the blame when the company calls us on it? Well, not boss I can tell you. Then, coworker calls me at 4:45 yesterday to give me a heads-up that boss made a snide remark to his wife (boss lady) that we'd all be up there working on Saturday to get them done. Uh, excuse me? I DON'T THINK SO! I told coworker that I am not going to get all bent out of shape because 1. he may just be blowing smoke like he does a lot (doesn't have the guts to back up his big words) and 2. if he is serious, he can stick it in his ear. If he pushes the issue, I will just calmly tell him that I work the hours that WE agreed upon when he hired me -- Monday through Friday 8-3. Weekends are personal and family time. Sorry, but unfortunately I will not be able to work on weekends. I'll be glad to work as hard and fast as I can on Monday through Friday, though. (All said with a saccharin-sweet smile, of course!). Hubby told me if he won't accept no & keeps pushing it to tell him to give me an ultimatum. If he does, leave. I doubt it will come to that. They don't want either of us to leave because then boss lady will be left having to learn how to actually do stuff and she ain't gonna do that. AND, I go to church with bosses & they may think that I would tell others about their unreasonableness. Who knows what will happen? I've already had to tell them that I can't work 3-5 on days that coworker is off. I was hired 8-3 & that's what I'm going to work. My mom is sick of having to keep DD everytime coworker decides to be off and I don't blame her. It's not fair to me, DD or my mom. Coworker made a little remark earlier yesterday about how she wishes she didn't have to work until 5 every day, that some days it's just boring those two hours and sometimes it's more than one person can do. Well, I am sorry that she feels that way, but MY employment agreement was 8-3.
OK, that was a mightly long rant for this early in the morning! DD fell asleep at 6 p.m. last night! Woke up at 8 & I fed her dinner and then back to bed at 9. She should be well-rested today.
DH starts his new position on Monday -- day shift position for 1-2 years! Woohoo! Of course, that means I've got to get my act together on cooking dinner every night again (DD and I are happy with a grilled cheese some nights!).
DH got his check stub for his time-off buyback yesterday! It goes into our account today. That was a huge good thing for us because now we can get my tires put on this Saturday instead of next Saturday (after DH gets paid on Tuesday). My tires are slick, and I mean slick. One tire you can even see the steel belts about to shine through. We have a lot of rain in the next few days, so I feel so much better now. Tires will be in today and we take it at 7:30 tomorrow morning to get them put on. Woohoo! Next is the shocks for my liftgate; they blew about 4 months ago and the liftgate is so heavy I can't load anything in the back if no one is there to hold it open. Been putting groceries in the backseat for 4 months now.
PODA:
* Finish laundry (it's going right now)
* Unload & reload dishwasher
* Call to wake DH at 1:30 and remind him to pick up meds at drug store
* Check online banking to make sure deposit goes in
* Don't lose my mind at work or get upset; just tell them how it is (and don't let them bully me)
* Load Quicken software onto home computer and enter info to start tracking our budget & spending
We'll go eat with DH tonight at his work. DD loves to eat in the cafeteria! Then, we'll come home and watch the replay of tonight's "What Not to Wear" episode. Tomorrow morning we'll have to take my car really early and then DD has a basketball game at 10 a.m. That should be entertaining! Saturday afternoon I need to work on my Bible study -- I had a wonderful idea for a visual last night after I laid down, so I need to get that together.
Well, better run. Sorry to always be ranting here about work. I really am more amused by their behavior than upset! Maybe that is a sign that I've really matured over the years! It helps to get it out here, too!
Y'all have a good one!

Waiting on the snow. Radar says it's snowing good here and all around us, all of our county and all surrounding counties. But I look out the window and see no snow. In fact, I can see for 20 miles. If something is moving in, I can't see 1 or 2 miles. But I can see 20. Nothing is out there! WTH!?
Vonnie, stick to your guns! Glad DH is getting day shift!
Oh, I wish we had a Target within 100 miles! Then again, maybe a good thing I don't. LOL!
Regarding DH's hair cut. I just give him a buzz. #3 guard on top, #2 back and sides. Easy. He wears a hat anyway (well, either a cowboy hat or a cap). So if I really screwed up, no one would probably notice. I do the same cut to Chance.
Drew didn't sleep well last night. Woke up at 3 and decided to babble, toss, turn, and whine til 4:30. DH was called at 6:15 to go coyote hunting. So, that's where he his. I texted him to call me, he texted me that he shot one coyote so far. Guess he's not going to call (since that was 1 1/2 hours ago). I was hoping he would, he's on the other side of town, I wanted him to swing by Mcd's and get me a Bacon, Egg and Cheese biscuit or two. Just sounds good. But, guess I won't get it.
Anyway, I have some filing to do, write minutes from church admin board meeting (that was 2 months ago!!), and various other crap around the house (like laundry, beds, work on the girls' room). Ball game to cheer at tonight. Great, 21 screaming wriggling girls to wrangle as well as Drew and Chance.
I read in a magazine on an airplane last month that humans aren't really supposed to sleep straight through the night. Until we had artificial light beyond candles, the normal thing was to sleep for 4 hours, wake up in the middle of the night for 1-3 hours, and then go back to sleep for another 4 hours; and that's what is technically "natural" for us.
Anyway, that was a tangent....

Hey Everyone -
Very interesting Becky - that is my DH's usual sleep pattern. He is grumpy b/c of it though.
Hey Vonnie! Let it go girl! I think you would be very unhappy if you had to work till 5:00. Like your DH said, give them an ultimatum.
Well, I am working on a new MacBook that I got at work and LOVING it!! OMG. I am seeing the site now as Lynn meant it be. It looks great. I am loving the whole Mac design and ease of use, etc. I think the next time we upgrade our home laptop, we will go with Apple. I am very impressed. Plus, it looks so clean! So white!
Tomorrow:

I would like to do my grocery shopping in there somewhere, but only if I can go before 10:00 when the store gets crazy. I haven't done any menu planning yet, so that might be a stretch.
Yesterday we took the kids sledding near our house in the park. what a great thrill for DD,since it was her first time sledding. Ds was reluctant at first but then went several times too. We had a thermos of hot cocoa to top it all off.

Awesome about the snow Jenny. We only have a few inches, not enough for much fun.
Hi Lois -
Just winding down a busy weekend - got quite a bit done though, including my cut and color and trimming the cat's nails at a groomer's. Church this am - we did coffee hour so it was quite a bit of work.
Not sure why it didn't work. I went to church today to say goodbye to everyone since where we're moving is a lot closer to a different UU church. Now it's 1 and I'm home and DH is off at a rehearsal.

Andrea-is Dd sleeping better? Hope so. I am reading Wickett's Remedy by the author of Bee Season. Did you read this one? Quite good.
We had a flurry of snow here. At my house it was like fluffy hail, but not far away they had real snow.
I have a clear day today -- except for the usual end of the month stuff. Pages of minutes from a half dozen meetings the last week. But maybe I can go for a nice long walk today.
How are you girls?? We are doing good- barely flapping though. We had a nice weekend- a friend of ours baby's christening on Sat and relaxed yesterday. Trying to get organized around here. If I dont stay home all day it seems nothing gets done. Trying to balance family, the house and work has been my biggest challenge as a Mom I think Either we have fun or we have clean underwear

We didn't do much playing in the snow. DH, DD9 and DS4 tried to go up to FIL's ranch to get some extra hay for the cattle, but got stuck on the way (DH had gone fine the day before, but 40 MPH winds during the night made the snow from a guys wheat field drift into the road). They ended up walking the mile back home instead. I think that was enough of snow for them. LOL! DH ended up getting out our really big tractor to beat the snow down on the dirt roads and got the truck home.
Rural schools in our county are on time for school, but town closed down today. I'm surprised, because our superintendent is pretty jumpy when it comes to closing school. He's done it twice this year already. DH took the kids in and was going to get the mail (since our mail lady is chicken about muddy or snow packed roads). UPDATE: Just got off the phone with DH. Mail lady just chewed him out for allowing school today. LOL!
I'm about caught up on laundry and got the kitchen cleaned up after dinner last night. I'm going to do weekly blessing today, make a baby gift, then we will see about the rest of the day.
* Three loads of laundry
* Sent minutes from five meetings to the chairs to be looked over.
* Tidy bathroom, kitchen, and living room
* Mopped floors. Boy, did they need it!
Now, how's that for a subject line? That would scare me off from reading, too!
No snow here. That so totally sucks. We only get measurable snow about once every 10 years. It's been soooo long here - 13 years! We've gotten taunted twice so far & no dice. The "voodoo land" forecast (more than 5 days out) has a small chance for it next week. I'd love for us to get snowed in for a couple of days and just have time to hang out as a family. Oh, well. Time will tell.
Well, yesterday I turned 39. I think I hate it more than I did turning 30. 39 is my LAST year in my 30's. Where the heck did the time go? This is unreal! I'm still 25, right? Nope, sorry old gal. Ugh.
How did I spend my birthday? Well, I worked my regular schedule, and had a committee meeting last night. Came home and DH and DD had made me a birthday cake and bought me flowers. Sweet. Then I had to help DD with the rest of her homework (now, you didn't *really* think DH would make sure she got it done while I was gone, did you? !!)
I have a crick in my neck again today, so I got up early. I have a pot of vegetable beef soup in the crockpot for tonight. I started laundry and when I opened the door to the little closet space that we call a laundry room, DH had so graciously piled his uniforms in the floor right in the door. He evidently took them to the laundry room, saw towels in the dryer (which were dry) and in the washer and was too lazy to fold the towels, put the others in the dryer and switch out the others. SO, he left them in the floor so *I* would see them today and do them just to get them out of my way (you can barely get the door open to the room!). He is a classic passive-aggressive! Leaves clothes hangers and junk on our bed so that I'll have to clean it off to go to bed. That way, he's off the hook!
Well, I just kicked his uniforms around, changed out the other laundry and put a load of light clothes in the washer to wash! I guess I should be the big person here and do his uniforms, but it makes me so mad for him to do stuff to make my life difficult. Not just NOT HELPING, but doing things that make it take twice as long for me to get things done.
Enough rant for a Tuesday morning. I've got a lot more day ahead of me -- it's not even daylight yet!
TADAs:
* Unloaded and reloaded dishwasher
* Folded load of towels, put others in dryer & light clothes in washer

Well, I'd better go before another rant pops in my head! Y'all have a good day!
Vonnie
Clairee: The only thing that separates us from the animals is our ability to accessorize.
Vonnie, my DH is like that, too. Well, I think mine doesn't even try to do anything around the house. Just let it lie where it drops. If your husband is like mine, telling him about how much you dislike that doesn't help. It doesn't matter HOW sweet or angry I breech the matter, his "nag detector" goes off at the sound of my voice and tunes it out. LOL!
Heidi, don't trip with the snowshoes!
Lois, way to go on all those minutes!
I got half of the weekly blessing done yesterday. Vacuumed, dusted, picked up. Today I'll get to the bathrooms and trash. Do a load of laundry. Oh, I got another sewing project done yesterday! It's a baby gift set for a cousin. She had another boy and her hubby and other son are REALLY into hunting. I found the softest camoflauge fleece and made a blankie and burp cloth with it and put his name on them. I'll have to take some pictures and post. Over the weekend, I made DD7's best friend a bag with her name and appliqued Sponge Bob stuff all over it. Her birthday is Thursday (no party, will just give it to her at school).
I've been turning the computer off for most of the day. And I think it is really helping. Classic SHE behavior, getting sidetracked by the computer. I keep the doors shut to the closet it is in and may check email in passing. But when the kids come home from school, I completely shut it down.
All is busy as usual here, and DH is under the weather. We finally have some snow and cold, which is nice. Hopefully we'll get to go sledding this weekend if everyone's well (please God!).
Better get school started with DD7. With DH sick I am way off my routine -- had to take DD3 to preschool, and now I am wandering around in circles.
There are some benefits to getting older...
1. You can tell people that they will have to remind you about things and thereby relieve some of your guilt about forgetting something.
2. You can order off the senior menu.
3. The kids are grown.
4. You can borrow children to play with if you want to play and then return them.
5. You don't have to tolerate bad behavior from the children you borrow.
6. You can take off for a weekend without having to worry about taking care of anyone.
7. You can enjoy hobbies and discover new ones.
8. You have credit now.
My best friend died several years ago from cancer. She never even reached "middle age." I decided that the lucky ones get to be old. So I am going to enjoy all stages of life and consider myself lucky when I am an old woman.

Snowshoeing today with DD class, plenty of snow for it here!! We are up to almost 3 miles of walking now, my neighbor and I. I clocked our route in the car the other day. takes us about 45 minutes to do the 2.8 miles.
Vonnie-you are not THAT old yet!! But I know what you mean about that stuff and I am 38.
That list I made to do yesterday. Nothing got done. Major SLUGfest here, I guess. DH was home and we played some video games together. LOL! Well, I did get his heavy work coat washed (well, I soaked it in oxyclean for 24 hours). It's washing again now, we will see how clean it turned out.
Then we spent 3:30-9:30 at the school for basketball games. We played our biggest rival. Junior High and Varsity teams all one, but both JV teams lost. Both Varsity games were nailbiters! Myself and my 20 little cheerleaders cheered for one of the games. Dinner was concession stand.
Girls room is a total disaster, and even though it's not the week for it (at least not on my calender), I'm going to tackle it. I'm fed up.
Oh, and DH passed his EMT exams. He is now a licensed EMT Basic!! Yay!!

Ds still has stomach bug, hopefully he will be better over the weekend. We need to buy new boots and he has to try them on,not like DD who will wear what I pick out for her!
Sledding possibly this weekend if Ds kicks his stomach bug thing.
I took Thursday off to go to Lubbock and shop. LOL! Went to Sam's and spent $400 on needed stuff. No junk food, no splurges (except Dh bought a three pack of John Wayne movies). Just stuff that we used. Also went to lunch with SIL, Petsmart to get a shock collar for puppy (that did the trick! He no longer jumps the fence!), Old Navy (and bought nothing), and a guitar store (DH got his birthday present, a nice case for his bass guitar that he can carry anywhere). Spent a couple more hours at SILs house with my niece and nephew. MIL picked the kids up from school and the girls spent the night there (we picked up Chance on the way home).
Yesterday I finished up cleaning the girls room (did the closet and floor. I shoved everything else in drawers and will attack them one at a time when I have time). Made room in the pantry for all the Sam's stuff. And cleaned out the fridge. Funny, spent all that money at Sam's and my fridge has nothing to eat! LOL!
The girls have a birthday/tea party to go to today. I'll drop them off and me and the boys will go get real groceries at Walmart (milk, bread, cheese, yogurts). I need to make a present real quick for the birthday girl this morning. Need to get a hold of DH and see if he fed the horses (they are looking a bit skinny these days, so we penned them up and are feeding them grain and more hay. I need to worm them, too).

DH and I need new pillows for our bed so will use a gift card for Linens and Things today and get them. No school here yesterday so took the kids sledding at the park. DD got knocked down a couple times by the bigger kids flying down the hill. They don't give you a chance to get out of the way before they all take their turns, sheesh!
Lois-that is very cool. They have a handheld bird guide electronic device out now that looks like an Ipod. It stores not only pictures and descriptions of birds but will play their calls too. Maybe you already have such a thing??
Where is everyone lately? Buried under snow or just hibernating??LOL
I'm here. But haven't been flying. Sewed some yesterday. Drew hasn't been sleeping well (surprised?). Nothing else really going on. Snow is finally melting enough to see some of the ground.
I'm reading along too! I'm home today with a sick DD8 so am trying to get some chores done. Nice to be home.
Heidi, a couple years back DS got hit by 2 bigger kids on a sled. He was just hiking back up the hill. We ended up in the ER and he had a mild concussion. He was really out of it for awhile. Scary.
HI Lois and Jenny!

Im here! I have started a post everyday since Saturday but have been interrupted by someone or some major crisis everytime. My tada today will be to actually hit the post button
Jenny it must be in the air- Luke was sleeping well for 2 nights and then started getting up again. I think our bodies have somehow just adjusted to broken sleep. Its just getting harder because he fights it so bad and I cant hold him since he is getting so big. It like trying to put an alligator to bed! I think I may break out the benadryl tonight. Bad Mommy drugging my child but its getting bad around here!
Hi Heidi- I LOVE Linens and things. FYI Last month when I bought my hoover floormate I went to grab my coupon and realized 1) it was to bed bath and beyond and 2) it was expired. So I left it home. When I was getting rung up the girl asked if i had coupons so I told her I had an expired bbb coupon. She told me they take bbb coupons AND expired coupons!! I could have saved at least $25!! Now I know! I would think they all have the same policies.
Waves to everyone!

After all the goofing off I've done lately, I have decided to buckle down and work:
TADA:
* Laundry
* Dishes that were dirtied while I was gone
PODA:
* Clean shower
That doesn't sound like much, but, Ladies, I have the WORST case of hard water deposit I have EVER seen. It is simply ghastly. After trying many cleaning products, I finally tried a razor blade. Lo and behold, it is working. I did a small portion, and I figure if I do a little bit every day, I will eventually get it all.
Lois, I can sympathize with the hard water. Hate it! Makes everything look so yucky and dirty, even when it's clean.
Jackie, Drew has never slept real good at night. For 14 1/2 months. Hopefully someday he will sleep not only all night, but in his own bed! LOL!
Trying to stay busy today.
TADA:
*2 loads of laundry folded (done for a couple of days, just needed folding
*breakfast dishes
*put away last night's dishes
*gathered a bag of trash from bathrooms, bedrooms, livingroom
*one load of laundry in dryer
*another in the washer (and another on deck)
*kids toilet cleaned (LOL! Big job!)
*had slimfast for breakfast
PODA:
*pooper scoop the yard (may slug this one. it's 11am and 26 degrees outside)
*try to have some money transferred to checking
*finish up more laundry
*work on big sewing project
*school news for paper
*vacuum, mop (everyone keeps tracking in mud. It's a slick mess outside. Fun for me in my truck! LOL! Except it's all frozen mud right now. Easy to drive in, but not as much fun to play).
DH won't be around today. playing at the firestation all day, cleaning and stuff for an inspection. Then he has weight watchers tonight, then after that a fire dept. meeting. Who needs him? LOL! Got so much to keep me busy! So glad it's Friday (well, for us on 4 day week it is! LOL!). No bedtimes tonight, no wrestling Chance to bed (he will either sleep on the couch or with DD7 in her bed).

Settling Down
Phew, 2007 really blew in with a vengeance.
Hey, if that's what it takes . . .
Shaun

Shaun, sorry about your FIL!

Have a good one
Heidi
Thanks for the New Thread!
* Work at office 8-3
* Awana tonight at 6:45
Co-worker told boss yesterday that she need to be off 1/29 and 1/30.

Have a great day everyone!

Good Evening!
Better get DD into bed......
Heidi
Love the one spot at Target

I Work for Looney Birds!
PODA:
* Finish laundry (it's going right now)
* Unload & reload dishwasher

Radar
Great, 21 screaming wriggling girls to wrangle as well as Drew and Chance.
segmented sleep
I read in a magazine on an airplane last month that humans aren't really supposed to sleep straight through the night. Until we had artificial light beyond candles, the normal thing was to sleep for 4 hours, wake up in the middle of the night for 1-3 hours, and then go back to sleep for another 4 hours; and that's what is technically "natural" for us.
Anyway, that was a tangent....
TADA:

So white!
Tomorrow:
cat to groomers for nails
cut and color for me
DS to basketball game
I would like to do my grocery shopping in there somewhere, but only if I can go before 10:00 when the store gets crazy. I haven't done any menu planning yet, so that might be a stretch.

Good morning, Ladies
We had a flurry of snow here. At my house it was like fluffy hail, but not far away they had real snow.
I have a clear day today -- except for the usual end of the month stuff. Pages of minutes from a half dozen meetings the last week. But maybe I can go for a nice long walk today.
Hi Flyfriends!!
How are you girls?? We are doing good- barely flapping though. We had a nice weekend- a friend of ours baby's christening on Sat and relaxed yesterday. Trying to get organized around here. If I dont stay home all day it seems nothing gets done. Trying to balance family, the house and work has been my biggest challenge as a Mom I think

We didn't do much playing in
We didn't do much playing in the snow.
TADA
* Three loads of laundry
* Sent minutes from five meetings to the chairs to be looked over.
* Tidy bathroom, kitchen, and living room
* Mopped floors. Boy, did they need it!
No Snow, 39 and Passive-Aggressive Spouses
TADAs:
* Unloaded and reloaded dishwasher
* Folded load of towels, put others in dryer & light clothes in washer
* Put together vegetable beef soup and have it slow cooking in the crockpot
PODA:
* Get ready before DD gets up at 6:45
* Work 8-3 at office - yahoo (sarcasm)
* Call auto dealership to see if my clicker key is in yet
* Take DD to basketball practice at 3:30
* Update my calendar with dates I've gotten in the last week
* Make grocery list & go to grocery store
Well, I'd better go before another rant pops in my head! Y'all have a good day!

Light day here, that's fine with me. Tomorrow I chaperone DD class on a snowshoe trip. I never did try snowshoes before so should be fun.
Vonnie- I would talk to DH about that kind of stuff so you don't have it boiling up inside you. Couldn't be any worse than not, huh???!!! Good luck.

Tuesday
But when the kids come home from school, I completely shut it down.
ya'll have a great day!
Quick hi
All is busy as usual here, and DH is under the weather. We finally have some snow and cold, which is nice. Hopefully we'll get to go sledding this weekend if everyone's well (please God!).
Better get school started with DD7. With DH sick I am way off my routine -- had to take DD3 to preschool, and now I am wandering around in circles.
Have a goodday!

Vonnie --
There are some benefits to getting older...
I just didn't think it would get here so soon!

Well,better run...

Ma'am-o-gram and my first "old lady test" -- the bone scan.
Morning!
Yay!!

Sledding possibly this weekend if Ds kicks his stomach bug thing.
Hope you all are doing well today

I took Thursday off to go to
I took Thursday off to go to Lubbock and shop.
Have a great day!

I'll try to get motivated today.

Hi Everyone!
Scary.

Hi Flyfriends!!

TADA:
* Laundry
* Dishes that were dirtied while I was gone
PODA:
* Clean shower

Jackie-thanks for the BBB tip, I didn't know that. Hope the sleep issues get resolved real quick.
Lois-the razor blade is a good idea, just carve designs in the hard water buildup on the doors and it will look like it is supposed to be there!! LOL
Have a good one

Lois, I can sympathize with
Lois, I can sympathize with the hard water.
