Remember the Latvian mittens knit for the NATO conference? They'd released a few photos of the 4,500 pairs of mittens but nothing that really showed the detail. Now they've released a photo archive of all of the mittens as well as online galleries featuring photos of many of the mittens. These are spectacular examples of a folk tradition that must be preserved. Check these out, they'll knock your socks off.
