UK Readers: A Request for Help!

Submitted by Lynn on Sun, 12/10/2006 - 1:20pm.

My mom is shopping for a little giftie for my sister's mother-in-law in the UK, a sweet older lady. Mom found a nice present at Amazon US, a mug with Godiva hot chocolate mix and some actual chocolates to eat alongside, but they don't ship to the UK. We can't find anything similar at Amazon UK. The lady in question doesn't really need more "stuff"; my mom was looking to get her a little treat of some kind, hence the chocolate. Any idears? Mom needs to be able to shop from the US and ship to the UK.

Brain's full of thesis at the moment, so I don't have any startling ideas.

However, Green and Blacks have lovely chocs and a British and US website. Might be worth investigating?

my choices

here are a few of my favourite websites for my occasional foray into online shopping:

www.past-times.com (I think this also has a US site, not sure if that's helpful)

www.scotch-corner.co.uk - lots of choices here for gifts

www.pier.co.uk - home furnishings and lots of little exotic gifties

www.lakelandlimited.co.uk - originally kitchen stuff but branching out; lots of Christmas stuff, edible and otherwise

One of those should yield something, but miht take a bit of time to look through. Good luck.

Kerri.
