It's not sticking here, but it's falling. I'm sitting here wrapped in a blankie wearing a sweater I knit a long long time ago (and that is still too big) watching the flakes float down. The girls are beside themselves, but disappointed it's not sticking. It's still early, though, and it's supposed to get very, very cold this week, so who knows...

Snowy Hail!

Submitted by Anhata on Tue, 11/28/2006 - 1:06pm.

Some of the stuff coming down our way is a weirdy snowy hail. It thwaps our atruim roof much like rain, but is a little clump of semi-icy snow. I've never seen that before that I can recall. It's 31 degrees (Farenheight) according to the thermometer in the atruim, which makes this former Midwesterner concerned about freezing rain.

It's sticking for a little bit on the cold surfaces, like stone walls and mailboxes, and DD and I played "dragons" with our breath on the way to school today, and I LOVE watching the snow fall, but I'd just as soon not have to shovel anything right now, my arms and legs simply could not do it. Well, if it does, DH can handle it, he's my Polish powerhouse.

You are so lucky! I hope we

You are so lucky! I hope we get snow this year. Last year, we didn't have snow or rain from October til about May. That sucked! So dry and so many fires (of course, after our first fire, there was nothing left to burn here and I could relax about that the rest of the year! LOL!).

Supposed to snow here on Thursday. And in Albuquerque on Wed and Thursday. DH, DS1 and I are going to ABQ for a school board convention thingy on Friday, hope the roads are ok. Well, I'm going to shop, DH will convention. lol
