How to have a boy

I have three girls and I'm wondering if there are any tips about how to have a boy next go around. Just for fun.

A few years ago, I had just two girls. Then a friend emailed a forward called Ancient Chinese Birth Chart. It goes by the age of a mother at conception during a certain month. And that decides the gender. Well, it was correct on both of my girls, so we said, why not try it for a boy? What would we have to lose! LOL!

So, we did. And I got a son!

Then I wanted another baby. My husband said, "Only if it's a boy!" (what was he going to do, throw it back if it were a girl? LOL!). So, once again, it was correct.

Now, I have had people tell me it was the total opposite on them. I've had some say it was correct on one child and not another. But, if it's all in fun (because, really, there is no way to assure yourself a boy or girl), what the heck! LOL!

It's here.

if that link doesn't work, just do a google search.

Ovulation and Conception--warning, may contain TMI

DH and I were watching a show about reproduction on the Discovery Channel or some such thing, and the doctor they were talking to said that sperm carrying the Y chromosone are faster and more vigourous than the sperm carrying the X. They actually seperate in the test tube given time, the boys swimming in the top layer, the girls at the bottom. Which means, IVF can take from the top or bottom of the test tube if the parents want one gender or the other (just raises the chances of course, no guarantee)!

What this means for conception is, if you have reproductive congress with the spouse right at the peak of ovulation, chances are, the Y sperm will reach the egg first, thus, BOY, but if you make the whoopie 2-3 days before ovulation, the Y's will have gotten there first, found nothing waiting for them, and have worn themselves out, but the slow-and-steady-wins-the-race X sperm will be there to tackle the egg when it does arrive, thus GIRL.

So if you're tracking your ovulation, either charting or using the home test kits, you can try this. Turns out, this is one of the main tenets of the Shettles Method. Scroll down a bit if you click on the link to read the basic recommendations for conceiving a boy.

FYI, if you like the Shettles Method, there is actually fertility software you can buy to track all the ovulation indicators to increase your chances of getting a)pregnant and b)the gender you want. What will they think of next?

Make the Whoopee?!

Who are you, Borat?! Laughing out loud Ver nahhz . . .

I've read in fertility books about the very method Anhata describes, making your sexy time based on time of ovulation. We did attempt this with 2nd child, seeking girl, and getting girl.

Just more anecdotal infol
