Do you know this thing?

I just want to ask if you are familiar using the T9 feature on your cell phone...do you have any ideas on how to use this thing? I am quite having difficulty figuring it out.

Oh, sure!

Oh! Sure, I use that sometimes! Quite handy once it was explained to me by my clever husband. On my phone, at least, it's used for keying in messages. Once you select it, you just hit the keys for the letters in the word you want and the phone tries to figure out what word that might be. If there's more than one that fits what you typed in and it gives you a different one than you want, hit the "next" button until you get the word you do want (or at least, that's what works on my phone). Sure saves a lot of key pressing in the regular Abc mode. There are some words it won't know, like names, and for those you'll just have to switch to Abc.

Hope that makes sense!

Thanks sparrow! Smiling That was really informative, I am now using it and it really does saves time. I have also added some of my own words in the T9 dictionary. I found some quick tips. Smiling

Glad to help! Sounds like you now know more than I do if you know how to add words to its vocabulary--I'll have to check that out! Eye-wink

Really!? I didn't realize there was another way to type things out. I've just gotten really good at it. LOL! My husband LOVES to text. Especially in the middle of the night while he is baling hay and I'm trying to sleep. hehehe!

It's quicker and easier for us to send text messages when my husband's in class, or for quick things. Try it--you might suddenly be even faster! Eye-wink
