Flybabies, November 6th

Well, no one else was going to do it! LOL!

It was a relatively quiet weekend! We had no where we had to be, which was nice for a change! I didn't leave the ranch Friday or Saturday. Friday I did get the house cleaned up a bit (bathrooms and kitchen, mainly) for inlaws to come over for dinner. Saturday I took the puppy for a walk to the mailbox to get both Fridays and Saturday's mail (have to carry him over the cattle guard! LOL!). Sunday the girls, baby and I went to church while DS4 and DH stayed home to play. They went out on the 4-wheelers. DS4 LOVES riding his own! So I guess now that he has took that one over, time to get bigger ones for the girls. LOL!

Going to do morning blessing today, maybe a couple of kitchen zone chores, then either work on decluttering some of the closet or figuring out some scrapbook stuff to do.

I did all my weekly blessing yesterday (ok, just in the living room. I'll work my way up to the rest of the house). Today I did all MR, including laundry and dishes after I made 4 pumpkin pies for the church.

Submitted by jennye on Wed, 11/08/2006 - 6:57am.

Well, it's just me, all by my lonesome here. On the whole site apparently. No one has posted ANYTHING in 18 hours. What's up with that?

And the temps the next couple of days are in the mid 80's!! What's up with that!! Only in New Mexico can you crank up the AC and the heater all in the same day!! LOL! Ok, I probably won't the AC. Windows should be enough.

So, I did pretty good keeping the kitchen clean yesterday. Til last night when I decided to make some banana bread for a funeral today (a girl at our high school lost her baby to SIDS). Then Drew was fussing so much by the time I got that done, I couldn't clean the kitchen afterwards. So I'll do that here in a minute.

Today is town day. Need to drop off the 4 pies I made for the churchs annual turkey dinner, the banana breads for the funeral (actually, it's the rosary today, funeral services tomorrow), go order 25 T shirts for the elem. cheer squad, feed store for dog food, Walmart for groceries and bullets (for DH's deer hunting trip).

But before I do any of that, I have to squeeze in a shower. I desperatly need one, and of course there is no time while everyone is here and could watch the baby. LOL! At least we have water today. None yesterday while the guy was working on the well.

Elections?

Submitted by jennye on Wed, 11/08/2006 - 7:54am.

There were elections? LOL! Just kidding. I voted, and that's pretty much all I did for it. I mainly went so I could vote for an education bond, and to show off Drew's latest pictures. See, our tiny village doesn't get busy, MIL and her friends are the ones working the election site, so we sit around and chat with each other and whoever comes in to vote. I got there at 3pm and was number 59 to vote. They even make a pot luck out of it and bring all sorts of homemade goodies to eat all day long. I could really care less about politics right now, it's all paid off anyway, right? LOL!

Becuase my house is so disgusting I can't even call myself a flybaby wannbe right now.

Sad

Between DH's surgery, me being sick, and all the schedule craziness like DS16's soccer state championship, DD's two bithday parties in one weekend, and two classes this week for me, things have just fallen apart.

Oh well, tomorrow is another day.

Indian summer continues here. 83 here today. And the wasps are loving it!

Wow Jo! I know how that goes. I couldn't keep up with the house during soccer. Hope DH is doing better!

Lotsa laundry here. DH is leaving to go deer hunting tonight, will be back next Tuesday. He needs his favorite shirts and jeans. Heaven forbid he wear some of the THOUSAND of other shirts in his closet. It has to be his Carhardt and fire dept. shirts. :eyeroll: Aw, crap. He wanted his big coat washed and he never brought it in from his truck. And you know, Tuesday when he gets in, he will dump EVERYTHING on the living room floor. I mean coats, jeans, skivvies, socks, shirts, sleeping bag, blankets. everything. And it will all REEK of camp fire smoke and of 20-men-in-a-tent-together. Not to mention that about the only thing they eat all weekend are beans with green chile and eggs with beans and green chile. So add in the fart smell, too.

And on Wednesday, he will say, honey, I NEED that shirt clean NOW!!! LOL!

Have a good one!

Submitted by jennye on Sat, 11/11/2006 - 8:19pm.

It was a busy, hectic day in some ways.

After the phone woke me up at 6:42, the day got started. I found out that our processed hog was to be delivered by some friends this afternoon. Well, I didn't think I would have room for it after the 450 pounds of the half a beef I picked up over a month ago. So I ran into walmart and bought a new freezer. It's small, 5 cubic feet, compared to my other, which isn't huge, just 15 cubic feet. Still, the hog completely filled up both freezers!

Then they stayed and fixed me dinner! So sweet of them!! A combination of onions, potatoes, and polish sausage (fresh polish sausage!!). They called it "Trash". Yummy! Easy to clean up, too.

Boys are asleep (though I know it won't be long before little bit is up again wanting more tittie milk). Can you believe he will be a year old next weekend?! Girls are playing cards. Very peaceful right now. Have a good night!

Jenny- how funny about the hog, because we got 1/4 of one brought over on Thursday from DH cousin! They have also brought us beef from their cattle last year. I still have plenty of that too. I had major rearranging to do before she was to arrive, but managed to squeeze it all in the freezers.(the main one in the fridge and a small one in the garage) So for just over $100, we got 65 lbs of pork(chops, sausage, bacon, roasts, and ribs). Not too shabby.

WEnt to DH grandma's bday party Saturday. She turns 93 this week. The little cousins had fun running around with each other while the adults got to sit and talk.

I have been asked to give a 5 minute talk on Wednesday about LDA and how it has impacted my life. So that will be a part of today and tomorrow's PODA.

Hi Everyone!

Having trouble sleeping Heidi? Or did you just get up WAY too early? Congrats to your son, that is fantastic! He must be pretty proud of himself. And what a great deal for all that meat - wish I could do that.

Hi Jenny - I'm sure you will enjoy your meat too. Glad you got your freezer. How long will all that meat last you?

Well, I made it through DD's party yesterday. It was fun and I think she enjoyed it. We did a Sponge Bob theme, courtesy of Wal-Mart. It actually turned out very cute - we decorated with blue and yellow crepe paper and blue and yellow helium balloons plus some mylar balloons. Also little blue lights. We saw Santa Clause 3 (cute) then came back for presents, pinata, pizza, and cake. The only tense moments were when her brother started in with the "What's your boyfriend's first name" thing and when some of the girls' behavior was a bit off. But all in all, fun. So, onward -

Andrea, if I'm careful, that

Submitted by jennye on Sun, 11/12/2006 - 7:18am.

Andrea, if I'm careful, that beef will last a little more than a year. That was only half a beef. We split it with my inlaws. I will more than likely run out of groundbeef before the year is up, but the roasts and steaks I can drag out a while.

Heidi, how funny you got pork, too! These friends of ours raise the pigs for their kids to show for 4-H in the fair. Then they sell them to their friends, haul them off to be processed and deliver them to us. I paid $250 for the hog and $150 for processing. It came out to 246 pounds of pork.

And yay for the honor roll for your DS! Always makes a mom feel good when they do that! Both my girls made Blue Honor Roll (which is straight-A's). The school is having a special breakfast for parents and students next Monday for A and A-B honor roll kids all the way up thru high school. The teachers are doing the cooking, then there will be an assembly for certificates. This is new, I hope we can keep it going.

If DH gets a deer, I don't know where I'm going to put it!

I think I'm going to ditch church today. After two days straight of unexpected town trips (Friday for DD9's soccer team's party, yesterday's freezer emergency), I'm letting myself stay home. I need to feed the cattle today. Will be a tight squeeze with all four kids and myself in a single cab pickup. LOL! I should have done it yesterday, but they have plenty of hay and grass, they certainly aren't going to starve.

HAve a great day!

Waves to Jamielea!!!

Dh made it back from hunting early this morning (like 3:30am). Soon after going to bed for a mid-morning nap, he was called out to a fire. There is a dust storm blowing outside, too. Let's hope we don't have a wild fire season like last year! I'm having deja vu of what happened almost exactly a year ago when over half my ranch burned and narrowly missed my house. Drew was 11 days old on that day (Nov. 30th).

Ok, on to happier things! When DH gets back from playing firefighter, he will probably unload all his stinky camping stuff. Thankfully, he didn't get a deer. LOL! So I guess the day will be devoted to laundry. Yay. Not.

Tony (ds20) is in his 3rd year at St. Mary's and still doing very well, he amazes me.

My Mom and her boyfriend moved out here about 3 months ago, they are staying with us until the end of the year and then they'll be moving closer to her new job. (about 10 miles from our house) After 14 years of living no closer than 1200 miles from any family it's nice having her here, the kids love it.

I've started decorating for Christmas, seems like I do it earlier and earlier every year. LOL I can't help myself, I have 2 tree's up and 3 or 4 more to go. I'll try to check back in more often, I do miss you guys.

Jamie Lea, aren't they

Submitted by jennye on Wed, 11/15/2006 - 1:21pm.

Jamie Lea, aren't they growing too fast!?

I did absolutely nothing yesterday. We had a sand storm all day, DH was out fighting fires for most of it, then class last night. And I just didn't feel like doing anything.

Today has been a little better. DH finally unloaded his camping clothes and I'm washing those. Drew has decided I shouldn't do much. I had my desk clear the other day, then DD9 cleaned out HER desk at school and dumped her papers on mine. Great. At least DH is out of the way, drove down to Hobbs (3 hours away I think?) to get a load of pipe to build some corners for fence.

My bedroom is EXTREMELY dusty and dirty. I guess I'm so busy trying to keep up with the rest of the hosue, I don't think about my room. The floor is sorta picked up, that is, no clothes on it. The bed is always made, so it doesn't appear that bad. But the surfaces have always been bad for the past couple of years. I don't know the last time I dusted. I decluttered about 10 books off the bookshelves, but it didn't help much. I went thru some home movies and labeled them so I know WHAT is on them (and saw one of DD7 when she was 3 1/2. Wow! So much like her brother!).

I'm overwelmed with so much stuff. Papers, toys, tools, etc. And so much of it I can't get rid of. how did I get so much stuff! Guess it comes with so many kids. LOL!

Andrea- I need to start thinking about Xmas too. I purchased only 1 gift so far but did start a gift list. Next on the agenda would be getting the kids Xmas portraits done and writing out Xmas cards. I don't really do any extra baking/cooking so I don't have to plan for that. Mostly shopping and wrapping gifts, putting up the tree, hanging stockings and a few decorations. So I think next week's goals should be making portrait appt and purchasing and starting Xmas cards.

When Husbands Clean

Submitted by Shaun on Thu, 11/16/2006 - 5:12am.

OK, I am only talking about my husband, but I had to share:

My husband was charged with mopping the floor. (Well, some other stuff that didn't get done, too, but we'll forget about that . . .) He waited til the last possible moment -- I think he started sometime after midnight. When I woke up this morning, the floor had been mopped.

Also, the mop and full bucket of water were in the bathtub. Everything that had been on our kitchen floor--garbage can, broom, dust pan, etc. -- was spread around the dining room. And the kitchen counters -- eek!

My husband the uni-tasker. Ask him to mop the floor, and he will. When the last square inch of floor has been mopped, he is done with the job. No putting things back in place, no putting away cleaning stuff . .

Ahh, I just have to laugh about it, so that as I clean up his cleaning job I can say sincerely, "Thanks for mopping!"

TGIT

Submitted by jennye on Thu, 11/16/2006 - 7:39am.

Heidi, dust storms are mainly in the spring, but can happen anytime of year. We had gusts of 55MPH the other day. We had a wet summer, so there is lots of vegetation outside. Tumbleweeds the size of cars, and other weeds are all dried up and blowing by the house, then piling up when they hit some fences or barditches. Then people driving down the highway throw their cigarette butts out the window and BAM, grass fire.

Shaun, it's a guy thing. I don't think mine could even mop the floor. I don't think he ever has. He probably couldn't figure out how to wring out a mop! LOL!

The kids (all 5 of them, dh included) have trashed my house before I could turn around. So I guess I'll spend the day trying to catch up. Oh, and I have to run to town for groceries. Whoohoo. So I need to make a grocery list/menu plan.

And HOLY CRAP! Thanksgiving is in ONE WEEK!!

Oh, yeah. Drew started walking last night.

Oh, girls...sometimes I WISH my husband couldn't clean. I left town for a conference and left the kids with DH. Came back and all was happy AND the house was CLEANER than I left it. At first thought, this would be a good thing, but then I thought-wait...he's better at this than I am!! Smile and be glad they know that you are necessary...I think mine are wondering why they don't just hang with dad! ha ha. On the other hand, DH says that it's because it was only one day, and he couldn't have cleaned it and kept it that way the whole time, just wanted me to feel relieved it was clean. Now THAT's a sweetie. YAY!!

Shaun, your story about the mopping - it is so funny. I think the rest of us can emphathize. How about doing the WHOLE job, and not just the first part of it?! Didn't you have one about putting groceries away late at night a year or so back?

Hey Jenny - how exciting for Drew! Can you believe it? I can't remember - are you going to your inlaws for Turkey Day?

DH's parents are driving here from MN for about a week over Thanksgiving - it will be nice. Trying to think of some dinner ideas that are low maintenance b/c we need to spend some time with them. I will give MIL some jobs for turkey day.

I put the Christmas lights on the outside of the house today. I noticed several (as in a hand full Laughing out loud ) of other people had decorated outside so I said, what the heck. Submitted by jennye on Mon, 11/20/2006 - 8:30am.

Jamie Lea, I always want to come spend Christmas at your house with all the trees! (but then I wouldn't get to see snow. LOL!)

It was a busy weekend with cheercamp on Saturday, then yesterday church, admin board meeting and birthday party (though small, only the inlaws over). Then this morning we had to be at the school for the honor roll breakfast followed by an assembly for awards.

How on earth do I get so far behind on laundry?! I try to do the flylady thing and do one load a day, but then I get busy for a few days and don't have time to do even one load. So I think I'm going back to designating 2 or 3 days a week and taking care of all laundry.

I vacuumed yesterday before the party. The kitchen is a mess. There are still boxes and toys all over the living room. I'll get those taken care of. And will see what else the day has in store for me.

I could shop for you and you could wrap for me. I'm not crazy about shopping but I'd much rather shop than wrap. I'm not good at it and the more I warp the worse they look Laughing out loud

Well I put the last tree up today, the one in my bedroom. (colored lights and all white decorations) Smiling

Trey and I did a bit of reading and that's about it, it's been a slow homeschooling week.

We're almost ready for Thanksgiving. Turkey and Ham are in the fridge defrosting. My mom's making the dressing this year as well as some mac salad. I don't think my soldiers are going to come threw, they were supposed to call me Monday with the names of two soldiers but I haven't heard from them, oh well. I told dh next year we'll celebrate Thanksgiving on Friday and on Thanksgiving Day we'll volunteer downtown delivering meals to the homebound, it's too late this year and besides I want to spend it here with my Mom the first year we've been together for Thanksgiving in a LONG time.

Anyway, I'm tired and rambling on. Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving. Smiling

Good weekend, busy week

Submitted by Shaun on Tue, 11/21/2006 - 8:50pm.

We had a great visit with mom, except that DH got food poisoning at lunch Thurs. and was sick the whole weekend! But my mom is great -- she pitches in, she plays with the kids, she has lots of energy. I hope I'm that kind of grandma. (Plus, she bought all of us new clothes!)

Just finished some T.giving prep: got my berry sauce made and got the turkey soaking in brine. (Also got the kitchen disinfected -- after years of no meat I am terrified of poultry juice!)

Got the bedrooms ready for mom, so now I have to get the other rooms ready for our T. giving guests. Ack! Mom also offered to hire a professional organizer as a gift to us. That's how bad it is! Jawdropping!

Jamielea, welcome to the club. We all must be flagged as spam at least once on TNH, or we know there's something wrong with you! Your love of Christmas makes me laugh! I'm just hoping to get the Xmas stuff up before the 25th. We are going tree-free this year because of the (not quite a) puppy, but I have a cool idea for making a paper tree on the wall that I hope will make up for it. And I will probably get some more greenery to hang around, and some good-smelling evergreen potpourri too. We also got a super-cute poinsettia topiary last year, so I might get that again.

OK, I can't get excited for Xmas decorating while the T.giving turkey is still in the fridge!

Have a great holiday, all you American T. giving celebrators!

Submitted by jennye on Wed, 11/22/2006 - 7:29am.

Hopefully the spam thing won't get me. LOL! I've had it happen before though.

Heidi, I hate to wrap, love to shop (when given the funds for it. LOL!). Let's swap! teeheehee. I wish I was a more creative wrapper. I don't do ribbons or bows at all! I just wrap it in paper, slap a tag on it, and stick it under the tree.

Speaking of shopping. I may have to run to town today. We are almost out of milk and bread. I have enough to get by a couple of days. but I know everything will be closed tomorrow when we pass thru town on the way to Lubbock. And I am NOT going to any store Friday or Saturday or probably even Sunday.

Today I also need to fix a brocolli casserole, apple pie, and I need to shell pecans and fix a pecan pie.

We are doing good though. We are settled into our new rooms and enjoying them so much. It is great to finally have the space since I am being taken over by kid stuff!!

Alexa is cracking me up watching the parade. Its the first year she can actually enjoy it. She was jumping up and down like a crazy girl when she saw the Dora balloon.
OK I have to be fast- Luke should be up any second. Just wanted to wish you girls a Happy healthy thanksgiving and I am grateful to have you guys even if I only show up once every few months Eye-wink I am going to be here more I promise. Hello Ladies

Submitted by LoisDenominator on Fri, 11/24/2006 - 8:24pm.

Hello,Ladies.

My computer died -- deader than a, uh, well, really dead. I now have a spiffy wireless laptop. I would have made the old one quit sooner if I'd known these swell things were around.

We had a lovely dinner -- just the four of us. I knew I ate too much when my chair broke. I landed most ungracefully on my bum and wrist.

I went to visit my sister in Maine in October and saw lots of autumn leaves (something we don't have in the desert). Also, my DH and I took a trip up the coast of California a couple of weeks ago. Having grown kids is a nice thing.

I haven't read ALL the posts -- I hope everyone is doing well.

Hey Lois! Good to see you popping in! Aren't these new laptops cool! Ok, I guess they are. My husband got one, but I don't get to use it. Which is fine. It means the desktop one is MINE! LOL! (which I must share with all the kids).

Nope, Heidi, no shopping for me! I got milk on the way home last night to last me til Sunday. I'll swing by Walmart and get groceries while the kids are in Sunday School.

I'm getting a sore throat. Crap. I don't have time for this! Drowning myself in hot tea today, trying to fend it off.

Hi All -

Great to see you Lois - sorry about the chair mishap! I love my laptop too - it is great!

Jenny, I have a cold too - sore throat started a few days back and now my head feels like a toasted marshmallow. Yuk.

I was considering going up to the city with the kids today to do a bit of shopping, but not sure I'm up to it now. If I do it will be quick. Maybe I'll take advantange of Lynn's Amazon idea, I usually do most of my Xmas stuff online anyway.

The house is in pretty good shape - I'd like to do a couple things today - change sheets on one bed and something else. Plus laundry.

Lois-hello,glad to see your name again. Your vacations sounded lovely. I was in Carmel,Ca as a teenager on vacation and remember it being so beautiful. Where you in that area?

Jenny and Andrea-sorry you are getting the sickies. My DD is over hers,DS is almost over his, and guess whose turn it will be next??!!

Tonight DS and DH will be at a basketball game so I was thinking of taking DD and my mom to a Xmas lighting in a small village near here. They will have hot cocoa and cookies, Santa Claus, and carolers I believe. So we may do that for a bit since it should be a nice night tonight.

I think that I will take a photo of the kids on my digital camera and make copies this year instead of making an appointment at a studio and dealing with all that. This will be so much easier and quicker.

Christmas photo

Submitted by jennye on Sat, 11/25/2006 - 7:08am.

Heidi, that is what I do now. I just take the picture, edit it on the computer, take it down to Walmart to have made into a card. They include the envelopes, too. One year I just did a picture and I included it in the cards. But last year since I had just had Drew, I didn't have time for cards, so I did the photo cards, I think they are .33 each.

Which reminds me I need to do that this year. Hope I can get the puppy to stay still long enough. LOL!

The girls stayed the night at MILs last night. DH is watching a movie, DS4 is still asleep, Drew playing with blocks. I got a small cleaning bug yesterday and started cleaning out kitchen drawers. Now I have all the napkins, placemats, tablecloths and potholders in the wash. Will finish that up today.

Hey Everyone -

Submitted by Andrea on Sat, 11/25/2006 - 5:52pm.

Hi All -

Well, I had a long shopping trip with DD8 today. It was fun, even though I am struggling with this nasty cold. We had her birthday lunch at Bugaboo Creek and I gave her "my" gift - tickets to High School Musical on Dec. 23rd. She was pretty happy. It is a Rochester production with highscool stars from all over the area. Should be good. Got her ice skates and boots and did some Xmas shopping.

Speaking of Christmas, anyone willing to organize the card exchange? Anyone? Anyone?

I've done a lot of different things with cards in the past and have mostly taken my own of the kids and had it made into a photo card. This year we went to a studio and I was actually very happy with the result. Don't know if we'll do that every year though.

Flying? Maintaining... my mantra. The usual - laundry, dishes, DH made a crockpot dinner. Church tomorrow and then DS9 has a bowling party to go to.

See ya!

HI All-
Can you believe this weather Heidi? I was out puttering in the garage and gardens today in just a shirt! (and pants of course) Eye-wink I'jm having trouble thinking of Xmas with this spring like weather.

Today was busy, but good. Church, shopping, swept and vacuumed garage (yes, I am crazy), laundry, went through one drawer and swept and mopped one wood floor upstairs. I am dthinking my new plan might be one drawer and one floor each day. Let's see ... I'll be done by May if I'm lucky!

Back to work and school tomorrow. I have a few things to iron out at work so I"m hoping it is a good week.

I ventured to Walmart today,

Submitted by jennye on Sun, 11/26/2006 - 5:43pm.

I ventured to Walmart today, but only for groceries. It wasn't bad, but I did go while my kids were in Sunday School and every other church in town (minus the Catholic church) was having services.

Our tree is up, but no lights or decorations on it yet. I'll work on that tonight. I'll do the rest of the decorations over the week, I suppose.

Spring weather here, too. in the mid to upper 70's all week last week. But this Wednesday a front is supposed to move thru, and they are predicting a high of 34 on Thursday, along with a 30% chance of snow (how cool will that be!).

Overshare

Submitted by jennye on Mon, 11/27/2006 - 2:16pm.

I spent the evening and most of the night praying to the porcialine God. Bleh. I was fine yesterday morning, went to church, grocery store, even got the tree put together. Then it all came up.

Feeling rather weak today and unenergetic. I'm not flying at all, not even flapping. I did do the lights on the tree a minute ago, will wait til the kids get home from school for the ornaments. No other decorating is done yet. Maybe tomorrow.

Except some time this week I have to get to C-town and try to find something to make a Moose and a ragdoll costume for my girls. DD9 has the lead in the school's Christmas play (the Moose. She also sings solo in it, too!). I know she is talented, but I also know that the music teacher, who I cannot stand because she isn't really DOING anything, put her in the lead role because my DH is on the school board and she is worried about her job (not that he can do anything about it, thanks to HB212, which really means all the school board can do is hire/fire superintendent and budget stuff). So, she is a kiss ass. We notice every year that she gives school board kids and her own grandkids the best parts. Also goes on and on about how wonderful the school board is, etc. really ticks me off. But hey, works out great for my kids (who really do have talent. LOL!)

Laterz.

Submitted by jennye on Mon, 11/27/2006 - 3:44pm.

If that is what I think you were implying, "LOL" is an understatement! LOL! As my grandmother likes to say, that would be the second miracle. Another overshare, but DH and I haven't done anything remotely close to sex in MONTHS! I absolutely have no interest whatsoever, and even if I did, there has been no time to do it. Between the farm and his EMT class and homework, my chasing kids, Drew refusing to sleep in his crib and other factors, we literally cannot find the time or interest. Even our trip to Albuquerque this weekend won't have any hanky panky, because Drew still has to come along with us. LOL!

Well enough to try a zone this week.

What zone are we in?

Things are really nutty as usual. Oh, for three straight days of peace and quiet with nowhere to go and nothing to do...

Had 13 of my family over for Thanksgiving and it was fun. All the food turned out really well, and the mess got cleaned up right away.

Christmas shopping is half done. I have 2 great grandmothers to buy for. They are both 84 and have everything, yet still expect a present. What on earth do I get them?

Hope everyone is healthy and happy. Jenny, you may not have "been exposed" but I'm still hoping for another one for you. Notice I said you. Not me. Evil

Peace

Jo, my Gram is hard to shop

Submitted by jennye on Wed, 11/29/2006 - 7:52am.

Jo, my Gram is hard to shop for, too. Especially since she now lives with my mother and even though she has a large bedroom/sitting room/bathroom, it's not her 2,000 sq. ft home she used to have. LOL! I usually get her a large print book (or a gift card from Amazon to get one. My mom does the ordering for her). I made her a lap quilt for her birthday (handquilted) and she says that's enough for her birthday AND Christmas for years. LOL!

As for another baby! Oh, you are funny!! Don't tell my husband!!

My entire day has been completely altered. I had planned to go to Clovis to get stuff to make the girls' costumes for the Christmas play. That was going to take a huge hunk of day to find the stuff I need. Well, DH made arrangments to have the windshield of the semi replaced. When he told me, I reminded him that he wasn't going to be in town today, he was taking one of the firetrucks up to Amarillo for some repairs. DUH! Well, it was too late to call and reschedule, the place was already closed. So, I had to cancel my day (because they are coming at noon. That leaves me not enough time before or after to do what I need to do). I also probably won't be able to go to Abq. with DH now as well. I can't do the stuff tomorrow because I'm running a bake sale at the school.

So, fudge. Guess I'll catch up on more housework (story of my life!).
