Selectively

My niece had Pertussis as a 16 month old, and we have had many outbreaks here, so we do that and tetnus. You can get the single disease vaccine, by the way. Our pediatrician let us know, but many people have no idea you can do that. Yes, our kids had to have two seperate shots for pertussis and tetnus, but they survived.

We're due for boosters

And I have no way of knowing at this time which boosters contain mercury. Yes, manufacturers stopped putting thimerosal in vaccines a few years ago but since the protection against liability got snuck into the Homeland Security act, there's no reason drug companies can't and haven't put them back in.

Checking the ingredients from the information at the Dr.'s office may not help, sometimes there are ingredients in the vaccines that are not listed and the Dr.s may or may not know about things like formaldehyde and mercury that are put into the mix.

I'm still trying to get some real-time information about what currently is or is not in the vaccines but unless I can know for certain that the boosters DD6 is due for do not contain mercury, formaldehyde, or other poison, I will not have her vaccinated.

Let me state for the record that her vaccines up to but not including the 4 to 6 year booster set are all up to date.
