Song, Monday 10/2Today wasn't a typical weekday (teacher workday for the older boy), plus I'm sick with a nasty cold ... so I'm going to trim the irrelevant and the impossible from today's routines. Look for the full version tomorrow, I hope! Monday weekly tasks: Monday: A.M. (weekdays) Routine DONE My breakfast Start laundry (by 6 a.m.) DONE E-mail and msg. boards Laundry in dryer DONE Dress to shoes DONE Michael breakfast My Evening Routine Start right after dinner! NO COMPUTER!!! Clean up kitchen -- shiny sink! Check calendar, doors locked, lights out downstairs Michael jammies, teeth, story Jen's routineI have a problem making and keeping a routines. This is a rough draft routine, but I hope to refine it and add things. Get up ------------ done Song -- Thursday 10/5Jen, welcome! Sorry I started this thread and then vanished. That cold really knocked me on my butt for a few days. I'm still coughing but feel almost normal now, so I'm jumping back in. Here's what is on my plate this morning: A.M. (weekdays) Routine DONE Up at 5:15 DONE (LATE) Start laundry (by 6 a.m.) (.... also rebooted a load already in the washer) DONE E-mail and msg. boards DONE Michael: breakfast DONE Quick shower DONE Michael to school (....drove) KINDA DONE Clean up breakfast This, of course, was just my morning stuff, but I didn't get it all done in the morning. It looks a whole lot neater on a computer screen than it actually works out in real life most days. I probably need to break this up into smaller chunks and work on them one week at a time. ThursdayHi Song!! I'm trying to get used to the typing routine stuff. I know it will help me in the long run. Your lists are so organized!! I will be here tomorrow as well, and then my DH and I are off to the Dominican Republic for our long overdue honeymoon! So I will not be around next week. I just didn't want you to think I was deserting you so soon. A.M. P.M. Wow, your trip sounds soWow, your trip sounds so exciting! I hope you have an awesome time! It's a LOT of work to get ready for a trip like that -- are you also taking your boys somewhere else, or is someone coming to your place to stay with them? Anyway, thanks for the heads-up about your coming absence. I will try to keep posting my routines just b/c confession in good for the soul, you know? LOL About typing up the routines -- I have mine already saved in a computer file, so I mostly cut and paste to post them here. As your routines sort of "gel," you may find it works to do that as well. The less thinking I have to do to get moving on the day's tasks, the better! I won't bother posting the rest of my daily routines today. They mostly fell by the wayside. I did manage a few loads of laundry (except the folding and putting away part), and I also managed to get a real dinner into the slow cooker (while I was sick this week, my boys were living on ramen noodles and hotdogs, ugh). I'm going to honor my body's need for SLEEP and just go to bed now, and look forward to a fresh start and clean slate tomorrow morning. Song, Sunday 10/8I don't really have a clear plan for weekends (that may be part of my problem -- no consistency -- but here's the general outline of what I want to do this morning: DONE Up at 7 a.m. DONE My breakfast DONE Start laundry DONE E-mail and msg. boards DONE Michael: breakfast DONE Leave for Meeting by 9:50 ----- Perhaps optimistically, I will post my evening routine today as well. The first item is ALWAYS the hardest to accomplish, LOL: DONE (at least I started working first!) Start right after dinner! NO COMPUTER!!! DONE Clean up kitchen -- shiny sink! DONE Check calendar, doors locked, lights out downstairs DONE Michael jammies, teeth, story Post new comment |
