I completely forgot to mention that my Button of the Month arrived today--robot buttons! How cute is that! I have no idea what I'm going to do with them but it'd better be good.

cute buttons
Those are really nice buttons. I readily admit to having a button obsession. When I win the lottery, one of the things I will buy will be my very own button machine. Now I so want to sign up for th button of the month.
And they're cheap!
Well, *I* think they are--$18/6 months, which works out to $1/button. For a limited edition button, I think that's worth the price. And I love that I'll just get them without knowing what they'll look like.
I've been thinking about what to do with these robot cuties, and I think I may knit a quick cotton polo shirt or cardie for my nephew and use these buttons on it. They say "little boy" to me. Thinkin' polo because there's only 3. Other idears? I'd put a picture up but my camera's out of batteries.

sweet!
I'd do a cardie or a vest. Since he's in sunny CA, a vest might be better? I've been to his town several times over the years in December and it's not cold enough for me to wear a sweater.
If you were Martha you'd design one of those activity books that has flaps to button and unbutton, zip and unzip, snap and unsnap, etc, all around the theme of robots or space. If you were an Alpha Mom you'd hire someone to do it for you.
Knitting sounds fine.

(In our house that's one word.)
His family goes up to see Grandma and Grandpa in the mountains just west of Tahoe fairly regularly, and it gets FREEZING up there...
