I've been writing about Pam Young and Peggy Jones, the Sidetracked Home Executives [1] (inspiration for the FlyLady), for how long now? Long time. Did you know they live something like 20 miles from me? If that? They're right across the river in Vancouver, WA. I knew it would only be a matter of time before our paths crossed, but now that I'm for all intents and purposes housebound...and it has been nearly ten years...looked increasingly unlikely.
I'll be speaking at an Oregon Press Women's conference in October on moving from traditional media to blogging. I have no idea what I'm going to say or what I'm going to wear. I haven't spoken in public in years. I strongly considered backing out; I don't feel well, etc. I got the program in the mail yesterday with my name printed in it, so too late to back out.
But guess who's following me on the podium? Pam Young. Guess I'm supposed to go!
