Finally Meeting a SHE

I've been writing about Pam Young and Peggy Jones, the Sidetracked Home Executives (inspiration for the FlyLady), for how long now? Long time. Did you know they live something like 20 miles from me? If that? They're right across the river in Vancouver, WA. I knew it would only be a matter of time before our paths crossed, but now that I'm for all intents and purposes housebound...and it has been nearly ten years...looked increasingly unlikely.
I'll be speaking at an Oregon Press Women's conference in October on moving from traditional media to blogging. I have no idea what I'm going to say or what I'm going to wear. I haven't spoken in public in years. I strongly considered backing out; I don't feel well, etc. I got the program in the mail yesterday with my name printed in it, so too late to back out.
But guess who's following me on the podium? Pam Young. Guess I'm supposed to go!

That's very cool Lynn - you
That's very cool Lynn - you will do great!
congratulations!
This is exciting!
You're a blogger, dress casual
I'd wear an oxford, slacks and sandals were I a blogger empress such as yourself. On moving from traditional media to blogging...I have complete confidence that you'll think of plenty to say on the subject. The problem may be narrowing the scope enough to fit in your time limit, there's so much to say.
Break a leg, as they say.

I think I figured out what to wear
Or at least where to draw it from. My mom moved a huge chunk of my wardrobe to the girls' closet when she was here--shows you how often I wear some of my clothes, I didn't even notice. I have a brown knit jumper that with a top and some black tights and shoes is perfect. It's comfy and yet looks good.
Now the problem is: muh hair!
