My Blankie

Lynn's picture

Here is The Famous Blankie, made for me by TNH, Stitchin' Sedition and ORSig friends, and held by the project organizers Anhata (the headless one--sorry about that, Hata) and Melisa:

And here am I, wrapped in it:

Thank you from the bottom of my heart, all of you. It means more than you know.

It's beautiful. I wondered what happened with that. You are more than welcome:)
By the way, i can see a guitar and a banjo hung on the wall in the background, we have those same instruments on the wall in our house too.

I have a bad memory!

I remembered it as darker, but almost all I ever knit is squares (mostly dishcloths), so it's hard to remember which was which!

about the guitar and banjo

So I have some skill with woodworking, and I made the Banjo from a kit about 5 years ago. Wonderful instrument.

The guitar you see belonged to my much beloved grandmother, Gladys. I think of her every time I pick it up.

The 3rd instrument missing from the wall is Josie's guitar (3/4 sized).

This will sound silly, but I don't play guitar *or* banjo. I do enjoy instruments immensely, tho.

it's hard to see in this picture

But it's the light blue and white garter stitch square toward the middle. It's soft and squishy!

My husband plays guitar and

My husband plays guitar and banjo. When our boys were little (we had 4 kids in 6 years), my husband found he wasn't playing because they had to be stowed somewhere safe. So, he mounted them on the wall where he could get at them but they were safe:)
