A Stunning Entrance

While in Savannah, I came across this fabulous doorway:

(nothing for sale at this site)
Now while this is too elaborate for most of us, there are wonderful ideas here. Note the balance and interesting shape of the topiaries to frame the door. The liberal use of moldings and corbels create a visual richness. The flag adds a splash of accent color.
The beautifully shaped door and glass serve as the focal point of this grand home, inviting you to enter. Choosing one or two of these elements can add elegance and style to your own entryway.
I'd love to know what you think.

Visually rich entrance, yes
But I, personally wouldn't use spiraling topiaries to frame the door. For me, it's too "busy". I'd use another vertical planting that wasn't necessarily perfectly straight--too much symmetry that way--one that had flowers. That entrance looks like it really wants flowers.
Is that your interior design website?

Nice
I like it, but probably wouldn't use the ideas, as our house seems to be best when kept simple. I love a big flower garden (bulbs and other perrenials, please, hate replanting!!) I do enjoy adding some holiday touches though, like a bale of straw or a few gourds for fall, or in the spring putting some hanging flowers (or even hanging strawberries if I get the gumption). I feel that the door way pictured does look nice for the building it is on though.
