My First Knitting Project
Well, since you guys all got me addicted to this knitting thing I thought I'd share my first knitting project with you.
I'm making DD a simple (very simple!) stocking-stitch sweater in cotton DK yarn. It's a kind of dusky rose pink, chosen by DD herself. I've done my tension swatch, adjusted my stitches and made a start. It's so exciting
DD is also very excited by the progress of her sweater, and regularly demands to "knit", meaning she takes a needle and prods the tension swatch with it! She's not at all impressed by being told that she can't do actual knitting until she's a bigger girl.
I'm taking it on holiday with us next week and plan to knit whilst looking out to sea from the Cornish cliff-tops

Wow
Well done Zillah! I still haven't progressed beyond dishcloths and scarves and I've been at this knitting business about three years now! Mind you, a sweater for my huge DS15 would be a much more daunting project than knitting for your little one
I have plans to join in with a knitting group in London if I can soon though, and I'll be embarrassed to just sit there knitting dishcloths! I have to think of something else fun and easy to knit.
