I dropped one of my two classes and slept in a little this morning, so I am in a cheery mood now.

I am sooo tired. Couldn't fall asleep last night, but have to get up early to get DD7 out the door to science camp this week. It is fun to have more time with DD3.

Not sure what's on tap for the am, but this afternoon it is library then church meeting then home.

Better write up a PODA after I drink my tea!

DD5 is having an allergic reaction to her stiches dissolving. Doesn't seem to be bothering her though.

We are going to get the boys all equipped for soccer, and get everything we need for my family's "Christmas in July" camping trip/reunion. Then I think we'll go out for dinner. Sushi probably, since DH won't be with us and he doesn't like it.

Not flying too high, but around. It's heavenly cool today-- with the a/c it's only about 70 in the house! So I hope that means I can get some stuff DONE.

We had a whopper of a storm here last night! The worst I've been in, with the exception of a hurricane. I would have been frightened if I hadn't been so fascinated.

We fared pretty well. My DH wants me to climb on the roof (!) to cover where the attic fan blew off in case there's more rain before he gets home from the reunion.

I spent the morning at the church doing storm cleanup. We fared well there, too -- just yard cleanup and a few puddles on the floor.

Neighbors at home and near the church were not so lucky. Some houses are missing entire roofs. And a huge metal powerpole is bent, and all the wooden poles with wires attached down the road are lying in the road.

Good to hear everything is OK, Lois. I smiled about your DH wanting you to climb up on the roof -- I still remember my DH climbing up on our roof in the middle of a big storm, during a little break in the rain. Our attic fan had blown down the street already, leaving a hole in the roof that DH wanted to cover somehow. I was sure he'd either be struck by lightning or go sliding off the wet shingles. One neighbor even came over to say, "What is he doing up there!"

Well, you can't stop people from doing what they're going to do . . .

Just trying to stay on top of everything today -- putting away laundry, straightening, doing freelance work. We have our weekly babysitting switch-aroo this afternoon -- today 5 kids at our place!

Oh - DH installed a new faucet yesterday - I was amazed. It is great - our old one was not working properly. It's the kind that you pull out the faucet to make the sprayer thingy - and there is also a built in soap dispenser.

I have a jeopardy tryout today, so no flying really. Although I expect a lot of dead time, so I am bring along the cross-stitched cardinal I am making for my grandfather's birthday.

That's my goal for today, and it should be yours. I can't stand to hear about all the illness and death from the heat. We are under a heat advisory all weekend, to be followed by an "excessive heat watch" starting Monday. The temps are only in the mid to high 90s (although we may get up to 100 this weekend) but with our humidity the heat indices get way up there.

We went to a birthday party with no AC this morning. Ack!! And this afternoon we have to go out *again*! My little ones just wilt in this heat, and DH is almost is bad. (Not that I do great, but if I can just sit still with a tall drink . . .)

Mainly working and getting the house ready for a scrapping party Sunday -- yay!!

Don't-call-us-we'll-call-you etc. I knew most of the answers anyhow. They gave us souvenir retractable pens which are designed to be similar to the buzzers and told us to practice with them in front of the TV!

I'm trying to get some laundry done and dishes washed but it's SO hot and I'm SO tired....

I got that warm fuzzy feeling when I saw my name in a post.... Thanks Heidi and Andrea- I miss you guys so much!! OK here is the craziness: Construction of our house has begun. It has been fun, stressful and exciting all in one. We have the new foundation down, now the actual framing will start. I had to go today to pick out bathroom tile.. who knew deciding bathroom tile would be so life changing I have to go back tomorrow am with a final decision. Luke still isnt sleeping through the night but he is the cutest, sweetest, happiest baby ever. I will post pics of the construction and the kiddos soon. Oh and my computer got a virus and I had to get this new one which I am still not sure of yet... Alexa is growing like a weed and keeps me cracking up all day. Tonight I had a glass of wine and when I put her up to bed she said "Mommy's beer (she thinks I drink beer like Daddy) mouth disgusting" Meaning I smelled of wine Nothing like your kid telling you smell like a wino

Becky how are you? CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Get all the sleep you can now- although I loved the 2am nursing for awhile. Now I am over it- Momma needs her sleep Oh and good luck with the Jeopardy thing- that sounds like so much fun!

OK I have to say Hi to everyine real quick- Both kiddos in bed for who knows how long so i gotta get my butt under the covers. Quick wave to everyone

~washed, dried and actually PUT AWAY 3 loads of laundry. Dstepson is staying with us for 2 weeks and I think he showers like three times a day and uses 6 towels a day!!!! Add that to Luke peeing through his clothes all day and that makes for lots of laundry!

~both kiddos had baths tonight
~went to library to find books on decorating bathrooms. Didnt find much
Thats about it!! Oh and Dh is on vacation this week and next week so we have actually been doing lots of fun stuff!! Luke is so so easy to bring everywhere so we are lucky OK I missed you girls and will honestly try to be here more Love Jackie

... the family came home last night. DH hates the kitchen and wants me to repaint it. And the house is not tidy any more.

Its been a week since ive been online! Whoops. This summer has been crazy Well I was online for awhile researching homeschooling. Its such a huge task to research. I think i may switch the kiddies to hs this fall.....

we are involved in the Y and church, so socialization isnt that big a deal. plus they play w/ the neighbors alot.

Andrea....sounds like the faucet ive been oggling Bet it makes "shining you sink" funner (dont think thats a word) LOL anyhow
