Via Whip Up [1], here's the Knit a River [2] project, "the best petition you'll ever knit!" Did you know that 1.1 billion people (that's with a B) don't have access to clean drinking water [3]? Water issues affect the daily lives of women and children disproportionately. Did you know that most women and children in the world spend most of their time hauling water home from a source? Knitting a square is literally the least we can do.
