Help! Laundry Disaster!

DH did laundry Sunday and he washed something red with a bunch of DS15's white tee shirts and now they are all pink! Really pink.

I have re-washed them several times (once with a bit of bleach, once with a ton of oxyclean) and they are still pink. He's going to have a fit!

Does anyone know what to do?

Desperately yours,
-Jo

Rit dye

The makers of rit die make something for this very problem. White Out I think it is called. You can usually find it with all the other Rit dies.

Iron-on transfers

Print up T-shirt transfers that say:

"Real men wear pink"

I saw a man at the Commissary - in the meat section, no less - wearing one today.

Carbona makes a "Color Run Remover" which purports to correct this problem.

Another option

If nothing else works, Sainsbury's in the UK sells their own brand of "Colour Run Remover" which works very well. I've used it. You could have someone from our British contingent send it along.

Depending on how sturdy the shirts are, you could soak them in a chlorine bleach solution overnight. Obviously don't do this if it will make holes in the shirt.

Dye remover from Dharma Trading Company, but I'd look in the supermarket among the Rit dyes; I know they have a product for just this problem.

Thanks so much! I know our market has Rit and Carbona, so I will go there straight away, and see what I can find. Thanks again!

If that fails I know exactly the stuff Becky's talking about and I'd be happy to supply Smiling
