Notes from the CICU.

Folks, two things suck in here: my health, and my handwriting. Pity Poor JJ, the faithful Mr. OMI, transcribing this.

I look like I'vbe been beaten with a piple. I'm on a lot of blood thinners, with with every "stick" I develop amazing purple Kool-Aid colored blotches so vivid it freaks out the children. But that's minor stuff.

The major stuff is going on inside. And unfortunately, i have an "interesting" case. "I'm stumped" say my doctor. You know how often doctors say that? Like never. My uncle is an ER doc in California; hes been my godsend through all of these trials. he has an idea what it might be and though it's rare my doctor is considering it.

Right now I'm sleeping a lot. We're slowly weaning me off a nitroglycerin drip and previous attempts have resulted in some pretty bad chest pain. But I'm in the right place for that. My prognosis remains pretty good, all things considered. Except, speaking of which, JJ got me a radio to listen to OPB AND ITS FREAKIN' PLEDGE WEEK. so i'm reading back issues of the New Yorker I have missed and trying to find something to watch. And sleeping a lot.

Thanks to everyone thinking good thoughts. Spare some for JJ and my Mom who are holding up the fort at home. I love them both.
