I had to proctor an exam and grade papers all day long. Tomorrow is more of a Flying day.

Some good TADAs:
super straightening/ dejunking in the basement -- two big bags of trash!
major cleaning in the yard -- threw away a lot of wet yuckies lying around the yard (trash that should have been tossed but instead got rained on), cleaned tables that were thick with wet leaves, dropping tree buds, bird droppings . . .

Yes, we are having a party this weekend. Why do you ask?

My littlest is turning 3 on Saturday!

Today I have the "Honors Convocation" at the music school where I'm being honored for something or other. No one seems quite sure what. Maybe that I'm the top master's student in my graduating class in my department? As well as the bottom-- there are several people above and below me, but no one with me! Then after that: laundry, phone calls, register for summer classes, and do something about Mother's Day.

I have been getting more Flying done as I said I would, on Tuesday and Wednesday. Mom and I put up curtains at the new apartment, did some packing, etc.

Heidi, thanks for reminding me that I need to get something done about Mother's Day! I'll have to call my sister and see if she is doing anything for our grandmother, and also do something for DH's grandmother. Since my mother is here, I can just make or get her a gift that won't have to be sent out.

No, no theme to the party, except -- wow, inviting a few friends over really multiplies fast when you figure in spouses and kids! I invited 4 of my good friends, one set of neighbors, the godparents, and the aunt and uncle. Doesn't sound like that much, does it? But we've got 14 adults and 13 kids, one small house, and a good chance of rain. Eek!

Worked on the porch for a while today, and will do more later. I hate to have people show up and think our front porch is a garbage dump. I mean, in practice I guess it is, but no one needs to know that!

Think good thoughts for me today -- I am going to the Dr. for something rather delicate. Let us just say it involves the colon. I have a strong history of colon cancer in the family.

Mother's Day -- oh right!
