Lynn's picture

Sunday is the worldwide day of protest for the people of Darfur. I'm not much for getting out in the streets--I don't like leaving home--but even people like me have ten things we can do now to help stop the genocide:

Just FYI for everyone, there is also a link to Africa Action on the website Lynn posted which allows you to email your local politician or President Bush. I wrote my own letter in the body of the message, but you can also use what they have prepared if you just want to get your name out there in support.

1. How do you know if your congressperson is already supporting the Darfur Peace and Accountability Act?

2. Where do you find out if your university has investments in Sudan?

Contact the President every day to help Darfur!

Check out DarfurPledge.org - Since the President has the power to ensure that a real peacekeeping force goes to Darfur, please call or email the President every day until this happens! See the website above for more info. Thanks!

Call

USAlone has an instant congresscritter phone lookup, and I suggest calling your university to ask the same question.
